“Very good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

We stayed here 2 nights and the place was great. Friendly staff who is always willing to help. Nice, clean rooms. Location is perfect, walking distance to Siem Reap center, the old market, pub street and many restaurants but tucked away in a quiet street so you have the peace and quiet when you go to sleep. Great value for money! Will surely recommend this hotel.

Our running group were in S R for the A Wat Int Half Marathon '12 and stayed at GTV. It turned out to be a great choice. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant staff made sure we had plenty of sustenance! They were our ''running support team'' - great job too! The free bananas and coffee is much appreciated. The restaurant is a great cool place to escape from the heat of the day. Thanks v much for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable!
Jonathan

PS: Get me one of your restaurant staff purple fisherman's pants next time! I can't a similar one in old market!

Lovely bed and breakfast. Good value and service. Great location down a quiet street but only walking distance to the centre of town. Rooms are a little dated but are perfectly adequate. Food at the restaurant is very good. Would recommend.

The Villa is in a perfect location, within walking distance of the old market, the night markets, pub street and about a 10-15 minute Tuk-Tuk to Angkor Wat ect.

The staff were excellent in offering help in any way. Always happy to book tours and organize Tuk-Tuks, particularly to Angkor Wat for sunrise.

Free 30 min massage which was great and a good little Resteraunt that runs all day and offers free bananas and coffee. Wifi and plenty of computers avail.

Ontop of that its very affordable. Great value, highly recommend!

This hotel is better than average for the price. It is very clean, and the bathrooms are roomy. Beds are comfortable foam mattresses that are a welcome relief from many of the hard/spring laden mattresses in SE Asia. The big-towel-as-a-blanket thing is a little weird, but at least you know it is clean and well washed...

The desk staff is amazingly helpful, especially our first hostess, Sopheak. We had a problem with a suspected theft while in Siem Reap, and all the staff and management was incredibly helpful and responsive to aid us with our issues.

I would also recommend using the hotel affiliated tuk tuk drivers for your Angkor visits. We had such a great experience with Mr. Silo (pronounced Cee-low). His prices were better than what we tried to negotiate off the street, and we had complete trust in our driver for three days. He was fantastic and really helped us get off the beaten track in our travels.

I would not recommend the hotel restaurant, however. If you go one street over (to the north, i think) there is better food for cheaper prices.

Room Tip: The first floor can be rather noisy. Wifi worked well for us in all areas of the hotel. The top floo...

I agree with the arguments in other good revues on this hotel. You get a nice room with aircon for 18 dollars, good service, a nice garden and waking distance to the senter of Siem Reap. The restaurant serves really good food, and have a high level on its staff - and you pay almost nothing!

Golden Temple Villa is a welcome piece of tranquility in a typically go-go-go-go South East Asian City. The hostel itself is surrounded by lush greens, and it is easy to forget you are at a prime location in the heart of the city. The staff are lovely, there are plenty of spaces within the hostel to chill out, the resturaunt is very good, and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. And you certainly can't fault the price! Highly recommended.
