“Great budget guest house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

We stayed on two occasions at this budget hotel for four nights and on each occasion were very pleased. The staff are lovely and will book trips and give good information and wont overcharge. Wifi, shower, front desk and tv and location etc are so good but hotel sheets although they arenclean are not good quality which is the only minus for us. We would stay again.

Beautiful building with fabulous, carved, wooden bedroom doors and lovely, clean, tiled corridors that lead onto balconies at either end of the building on each floor. Location is one minute walk from the riverside, less than 5min walk from (I think) the largest night market in Siem Reap. Mixed experience with restaurant, one day got completely wrong order and staff tried to convince us it was the right one (with was almost laughable because it was clearly not!) and weren't very willing to get us the correct food (we just left the meal as it was 90% food that neither of us eat!) But that said, on our first night we had the chicken amok and it was genuinely the nicest one we had in our month in Cambodia! The young girls who clean keep the place immaculate, the rest of the staff are nice enough, the lady owner is lovely and bubbley. Beds are comfy but if you opt for a fan room, the fans are ceiling fans which are quite noisy. Overall a good choice. PS Their gym they advertise at reception is on the top floor, but nothing works!!

Firstly, ignore the tuk tuk drivers, they all claim this place is full/dirty/rooms are too small. We are very glad we stuck to our decision and got the driver to take us here as this is nothing of the sort. Our room was the lowest rate and still very spacious with safe, fridge, TV etc, and most importantly it was clean. The staff will help to organise anything you need, yet aren't pushy, there is a computer for everyone to use, and even a gym on the roof if you want! And not even a minute walk until the markets, restaurants or pub street.

Room Tip: You pay half again for air con, we decided to try with the fan first and this was plenty in June.

The hotel is right around the corner from the main backpacker/tourist area of Siem Reap, which makes it easy to go out for dinner and drinks but quiet when you're ready to sleep. The staff was reliably friendly and sweet.
They offered us a tuk-tuk tour of the temples for $10 for 1 day. He was a good guide and even had a cooler full of cold water for us to drink through out the day. He took us to a somewhat expensive restaurant for lunch ($5) but probably would have taken us somewhere cheaper if we pushed. We knew he was getting a kickback and he deserved it.
We stayed in a clean room with a hot shower and a/c for $9/night and it was by far the best hotel and room we stayed in throughout SE Asia. There was an internet cafe on the ground floor along with a restaurant, a gym on the roof with a good view, TV in the room with cable and a movie channel, and lots of common areas with books and couches.

Room Tip: Ask about any tour groups staying in the hotel, which may be noisy.

Nice, clean and cheap rooms with a safety deposit box. The The owner is Burmese and the food is delicious. Everyone working there was super friendly. Good security. Convenient location. The only downside was that my first room
was right next to some construction so it was a bit noisy if you wanted to sleep in late. Only some of the rooms were next to it though. There are technically two buildings and lots of rooms. Other than that it was great and I would recommend it to any traveller on a budget

Stayed at Madalay Inn around march for a week.
Central location, small rooms and little extras. For 16$ different guest houses offer far better value for money.
Rooms were cleaned daily, staff was friendly and it is open 24 hrs a day. So no problem if you are out at night.
