“The wonderful hotel and great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2009

I hade been stayed at this hotel for three days with my wife, we would like to say thank for making our stay with very pleasant. We had a very nice and quiet room, good breakfast and also a comfortable dinner. All the Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Specially front desk they are very great that have been organized all of our trip around the temple with explanation and tuk tuk driver he is very good careful of driving us around temple and the place we would need to go, We appreciated in this small hotel, even it a bit away from the centre, especially better after we saw the large places in the noisy centre, We don’t know how much to say with this beautiful place in nice things, Please come to make an experience in this great hotel and very excellent staffs,

All the staff at this hotel were very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms were clean, spacious and functional. They are decorated in a slightly rustic style with polished wood plank flooring, mosquito nets above the bed and black and white photos of Angkor's attractions. The small pool is a welcome respite after a hot day of climbing around temples. The restaurant serves good Khmer food and breakfast is accompanied by homemade jams. The only drawback to this hotel is it's location. Although it is one of the closest hotels to the main temples, it is not within walking distance of any restaurants or shopping. However, transport options are easy to arrange and very cheap.

we went to pavillon indochine through recommendations of several friends. we were not disappointed. the hotel is small and very cosy, you feel comfortable. the rooms around the pool are very nice. the family rooms are very big (but the mosquitoes like them too... ).the salted pool is very relaxing when you come back from the temples. the staff is lovely, the location is nice because quiet compared to siem reap very center, and you can feel more local atmosphere here than in all the downtown hotels. the food is more than correct and very cheap, so very convenient when you are with small kids rather than going to a city center restaurant.

I book this hotel upon recomendations of friend and i must say it was a great experience. I book directly through their website and they reply me very quickly and efficiently. They send a taxi to pick me up at the airport and the following days the same driver tours me around Angkor and the country side but with a tuk tuk. His name is Che and I highly recommend him.

I get a quiet room around the swimming pool, it was nicely decorated and the bed quality was just perfect. I enjoy the balcony overlooking the garden and swimming pool.

All the staff have done their best to help me, they were so kind maybe because i was travelling alone. They book me restaurants in town without extra, the manager helps me as well to organize my visit in order to escape the crowd. Thanks to all of them!

We enjoyed our stay at the Pavillon Indochine. We got the 4 night package and were happy to have everything taken care of. Kun, our driver met us at the airport, stayed with us until after sunset one night, greeted us before sunrise another and was always prompt and cheerful. We arranged for a guide through the hotel. Not only did Tom give us history and information but some insider tip on where to get good shots. We all enjoyed our massages that were also included in the package. I went back a second time to give my feet some extra pampering.

Breakfast was plentiful, we're going to miss that dragon fruit.

Our family room was very spacious. There was a wedding in an adjacent property that was very loud one night and very early the next morning (530 am). I don't know if that is a a regular occurance.

There were moments, especially in the evening, when I wish we were in town but we never had problems getting a tuk tuk.

  • Liked — nice size room, pleasant staff
  • Disliked — location...not awful but not great.

We stayed 3 nights in Pavillon Indochine in November 2008. The hotel is a peacefull oasis in Siem-reap an provides 20 well decorated and lovely rooms around a pool and a garden. The hotel is in 5 min tuc tuc ride from the town center but is ideally situated for visiting Angkor temples.
Warmly recommended!

We stayed at the Pavillon Indochine upon recommendations from this site and other reviews. We were not disappointed.

The Pavillion Indochine in a boutique hotel located away from the main town area, very close to Angor Wat. Town can be reached in 10 minutes by tuk tuk, so the location is not a problem.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff who offered us a welcome drink and a cold towel. The reception area is arranged more like an office, very warm and inviting.

We were taken to our room which was large and nicely decorated. Furnishing were simply yet adequate. There was a color TV, desk and a mosquito net covered the bed. Outside the room was a large veranda with 2 chairs and a table, which overlooked the inviting pool and well-manicured grounds.

Breakfast was served daily and included in the price. They also have transportation waiting in front of the hotel to transport you to town or to the temples. They will wait for you, and pick you up and drop you back to the hotel, and take you back to the temples later in the day if needed. The price was $12 US.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Pavillion Indochine, and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a nice comfortable place to stay while in Siem Reap.
