“Feel good; eat good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2014

You don't go to Siem Reap for its cuisine, so I was pleasantly surprised to chance upon a restaurant that could hold its own in Hong Kong, Singapore or Bangkok. The service was attentive (with 'teachers' overseeing 'students'), the food was local and authentic in every sense (both culturally and sourced) and the dining atmosphere was cheerful.

Our family of vegetarians was not disappointed by the tapas, all of which were animal-free and delicious.

We were so impressed that we returned again for another dinner. Try the strawberry kompot peppercorn shake; an inventive combo that really works - just like this restaurant.

“Flawless”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2014

Charity run restaurant (Friends) a must visit for all visitors, I went for the buffalo burger, craving some meat having spent endless days ordering veggie dishes as wife is veggie nut. Wife had crispy noddles with tofu peanut lime and mint salad no fish sauce, it was delicious. The staff were very good and informed. We also got a take away for the next day bus journey of grilled veggie sandwich again bellisimo.

“Great food and a beautiful spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2014

This was my favourite place in Siam Reap, the menu has lots of great choices including lots of delicious non-alcoholic drinks, plus they keep you topped up with free, clean drinking water.
I tried the silk worms and enjoyed them but you don't have to be adventurous. We went for dinner and for lunch.
I also liked the philosophy behind the restaurant, training young people. This occasionally requires a little patience with their English skills (or my lack of Khmer!) but worth it.
You can sit in the shady or beautifully lit garden, or inside in air conditioning.

“Good food in a lovely setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2014

We enjoyed our dinner at Marum. There is always a teacher supervising trainees who ensure that needs of the guests are met. Food is very good, a mixture of classic and modern. We enjoyed the salad and the croquetas. Good value for money and a great project idea. Don't miss the opportunity!
