“Great location and lovely service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

Would give this 4-1/2 if that was an option. We stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed the hotel and service. Our "personal concierge" was Mr. Chan and he took very good care of us - arranging our itineraries, booking driver and tour guide, reserving restaurants, etc. But, everyone in the hotel was just lovely - super nice and friendly - especially the restaurant staff. The hotel and room decor is quite different from a "chain" hotel and the rooms are very large. The rooms look just like the pictures on line, no disappointment there. The location is great with a shopping mall next door and large grocery store and very quick tuk tuk ride to pub street and night market.

Because the hotel is in town with the shopping center right next door, many of the rooms have windows facing the wall next door. There is still plenty of light in these rooms if you open the drapes, but there is no view. We requested a change to a room with a view and got moved right away. My parents opted to stay in the (larger) room with the windows facing the wall and were quite happy. Unfortunately, there was some construction noise above my parent's room one day when my mom was trying to take an afternoon nap. We complained about it to the front desk the next day and all the noise stopped for that day. Wish we had said something the day before. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in town in Siem Reap.

Note - we ended up with a "personal" tuk tuk driver (one of the drivers who seems to have a spot at the front of the hotel), Chan Rith, and he was great too! He speaks great English and took care of my parents when they went some places on their own. I mentioned we were looking to buy sandals for my Dad and he drove around the town to find the right store and then took us there later. Look for him if you stay at Memoire. Also, when you head home from Pub Street, tell the tuk tuk drivers you are staying at "Memory" , "Memoire" didn't seem to work :-)

Another note - we stayed during the "low season", which was hot but with far fewer tourists than in the high season. I would recommend it if you can handle the heat as we could easily get tables at restaurants, the temples weren't too crowded, and I think it helped when we wanted to move rooms at the hotel.

Room Tip: Because the hotel is in town with the shopping center right next door, many of the rooms have window...

I stayed here with my wife during June 8-12, 2014. The stay was great, the hospitality fantastic, and the amenities superb. They even upgraded us to a suite. A lot of freebies included: laundry, minibar, one meal, one foot massage, drop and pick up for the airport..... I would highly recommend this hotel.

Mr Chan was the person who looked after our well being and he did a superb job, taking care of all our concerns. I wish him the best.

There are a couple of minor points which I would like to mention though:
1. They did not pick us up at the airport though I had given the arrival details in multiple emails. However, when I suggested that they could reimburse me for the taxi-fare that I paid, they readily did so.
2. The shower area in suite 203 gets flooded (slope is wrong) and also leaks from one corner. Have informed them about it.

Other than that, no problems.

We stayed 4 nights at Memoire d'Angkor hotel and we were happy with almost everything in this hotel. The room was nice & clean with complimentary soft drinks + mineral water daily. Breakfast spread was good as well.

We were served by Chan as soon as we arrived at Siem Reap international airport after a flight diversion to Phnom Penh due to bad weather per say. Chan and his colleague waited 3hrs++ at the airport but still, they welcomed us with a big smile on their face. We are thankful for that.

Thank you, Chan and all the hotel staff for being polite & humble all the time. We wish you all the best and prosperous in many ways :)

We stayed for three nights at tgis hotel and were very impressed by the following:
(1) extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff: pretty much they acted as our consultant for the whole stay in Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. By first underatanding our specific interests, they gave holistic advices (in our case, it involved photographing Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom in various settings, as well as visiting more of the country side to see how local produces are made, and livelihood of local villagers. Staff was transparent with all potential costs.

(2) Free and hearty breakfast with diverse choices, and even live music!

(3) clean room. needless to say

My friend and I totally loved this hotel. We got a free upgrade to a family suite for just the two of us! Loved the breakfast spread, the service from the airport pick-up all the way to leaving Siem Reap. Chan was a great help and a really friendly and passionate staff who always kept up with our adventures and recommended places to dine at and visit. The hotel facilities are great - the swimming pool looked really tempting but we couldn't go because of the rain. There are also laundry and spa services but they're quite costly given that they could be done just along the street not far from the hotel. It is also slightly further away from Pub street and all the food, but it does not take long to walk there. Would love to stay here again the next time we visit =)

We stayed three nights in Memoire d'Angkor hotel and it was beyond our expectations. The hotel design and atmosphere was very good and the swimming pool size was enough to relax at the end of the day. Excellent location where it was easy to walk to the busy streets for night walk/dinner/shopping and quiet enough to rest.
The room was very nice, comfortable, clean and with excellent amenities like free mini bar drinks and free clothes cleaning (in a hot and humid environment like Cambodia it is very helpful).
The breakfast was also of a very good quality and variety, specially the fruit – the best I tasted in my all holidays.
The staff was also genuine friendly and making us feel very welcomed in the hotel. The customer service was excellent. Free transfer from/to the airport, advising where to go in the town and the best way to visit Angkor Wat and also very helpful in dealing with a lost luggage from the Air company.
To resume, it will be only place I will be staying when returning to Siem Reap.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It is in a great location, just a ten minute walk from pub street. Mr Sochanthy Mao and all staff here really go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel organised a tuk tuk to Angkor Wat for us and organised a late check out. The free laundry service, free mini bar and cookies provided daily are an extra treat! Pool and gym are great. I would happily recommend this hotel.
