“Nice hotel near tourist spots”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013 via mobile

The hotel was great. Good breakfast. Great staff. The staff made sure I get everything I need. 15min walk to pub street and markets and to the national museum. Swimming pool was great. They have free transfers and free laundry.

The front desk staff speaks good English. M/s Som Lei, deserve special mention for her services and not forgetting Mr Vitou, Mr Chamthy and a few others which their names we cant recall. And not forgetting our dear Tuk Tuk driver Mr Wan.They made our trip to Siem Reap a pleasant one.
We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and relatives.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny.

We stayed 2 nights at Memoire d'Angkor. The hotel was refurbished 8 months ago and the decor is very dark. The carpet in the reception was poorly fitted and unpleasant.

The room was very large with a large bathroom with a view of thevwall opposite, approx 6 feet away! The hotel is situated a a busy road with a lot of traffic.

We had supper in our room - on the table which was good value and well presented. Breakfast is served in a large, open sided dining room - so no air con. We had early breakfast both days but it was already hot in there.

We didnt use the complimentary laundry service and the complimentary mini-bar consisted of 2 cans of coke and 2 cans of beer!

Siem Reap appears to be a town developed to supply Angkor Watt with customers - my advise would be to see the temples on a day-trip!

We stayed in this hotel during our two night stay in Siem Reap. As we were there on a special occasion, we got a complementary upgrade to one of the suites which was great! I have spent many nights in hotels for work and holiday, but I have never experienced the service as good as in the Memoire d'Ankor. Excellent service, recommending great restaurants (the hotel restaurant is very good also by the way) to arranging bike rental at 5 a.m. for a morning ride to Ankor Wat. The hotel has a great location as it is a $2 dollar tuktuk to pub street and central market, as well as a 30 minute bike ride to Ankor Wat. Very good breakfast (from Asian to contintental) and swimming pool for taking the heat off after a day's visit to Ankor Wat. Oh, and fresh fruit in our room twice a day (!)

Room Tip: If you have get the chance, book one of the suites

My family of 4, with 2 older children had 2 rooms for 4 nights. Rooms were spacious and beautifully done. It had a resort feel even though it was a small boutique hotel. The pool was great, cocktails served to you in the pool and the swinging lounges were a treat. It was great to get out to the temples early in the morning then come back and relax by the pool before heading out to dinner. It was an easy walk to bar street and the night markets. Lots of extras included like free mini bar and laundry were unexpected but appreciated. Staff were always friendly and helpful but really excelled when my son became suddenly ill. Phally Kong organized a car and driver to take us to the hospital and then kept him on longer so that he could bring us back a few hours later. Not only a fantastic hotel but beautiful caring people as well. Many thanks.

Room Tip: We had a suite which was massive, with our own personal swing lounge, nice to have the space if we a...

Nice hotel friendly staff! We were picked up from the airport by a lovely staff member Mr Chanty, he took us past the temples to get our first glimpse which was fantastic! The room was clean sheets nice and fresh, free mini bar ( don't get excited coke beer and water but it was free so tick!) pool was clean, breakfast was excellent! Best part of our stay was the tour guide Kea Loch and our tuk tuk driver Mr Mao! Kea was informative and his English was excellent! He had great knowledge of the temples and a really fun sense of humor which made for a wonderful experience! If you need an English speaking guide make sure you ask for Kea!
