“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2015 NEW via mobile

** You can easily visit Angkor Wot, Angkor Tom, Bayon & Ta Prohm in one day as part of one trip - so I an reviewing them as one **

The temples are simply stunning; immense and detailed stone fortresses deep within the Cambodian forest. If you have two days free in Bangkok or Ho Chi Minh its a 1hr flight and incredibly worthwhile.

Do: Stay hydrated and bring sun protection. You can buy drinks along the trail for $1US each.

Wear a t-shirt and bottoms to below the knees. Save having to buy something on the day.

Take enough cash - for lunch, drinks, donations to one of the fabulous land mine victim bands, your ticket of course ($20 p/person) and in case you are inspired and want to buy a souvenir on the day.

Go by Tuk-Tuk. You will acclimatise to the heat much better than getting in and out of an airconditioned car and these guys are lovely. Remember how poor Cambodia is and be generous. You should be able to get a 6-7hr day trip for $15US, but invite him to lunch, buy him a bottle of cold water and if he's been good tip him on top of the agreed rate - he probably deserves it.

Going early is best. It will be cooler and it will be easier to take great photos!

Enjoy!

“Amazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2015 NEW

We were there in May and it was uncomfortably hot. But well worth it. The walkways are uneven and make it a bit uncomfortable to walk around. There are a lot of steps everywhere. Highly recommended taking water and snacks to help keep up the energy . Not recommend for young children ( under 7) . It was very crowded with other tourists and was difficult to get around . But, with all that it was simply amazing!
