“A superb experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2014

An excellent site to visit. The various temples and the Elephant and Leper King terraces are superb. An elephant ride around Baphoun temple is a must. Plenty of monkeys to be seen, but they can be a little demanding. Beware!!

“Happy Face”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2014

If you like to see a happy face on the wall this is your place. I think it was beautiful. There are 4 faces looking 4 directions of the stupa (conical structure). My travel advice to anyone is good place to go but maybe try visiting this first than Ankor Wat as this place is more beautiful and it gets really crowded as the place is small.

So not to have 100's of people on your photos you can choose early morning or late afternoon to go there.

“starting to get templed out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2014

As this was our last stop, I was starting to get "templed" out, seeing so many temples. This was attached to several others, all the way to the Terra of the elephants and Terra of the Leper King. This one started to look ordinary after seeing the other main temples. But at least our guide provided some 'modern" photography techniques, where we can have pictures taken as if we were "nose to nose" with some face statues. Another curious thing here are the presence of the monks. There was a huge sitting buddha outside this temple, and what was curious is that in one of the towers, I accidentally saw a monk lying down on his side, as if he was a lying buddha, except the monk was alive, in his orange monk suit, asleep. It was a very unique sight to see, as if the temple came alive!

“Must see attraction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

I totally loved the whole Angkor Wat experience, and Angkor Thom is equally impressive. The. Last capital of the Angkorian Empire. Like Angkor Wat this is a must see attraction if in Seim Reap. Remember to wear sensible shoes as the ground is un even and there are plenty of stairs, ensure to take drinking water and as a side note please don't touch the sand stone structures as sweat and acid from your hands will damage the Sand stone. A world marvel and worth the effort. There are heaps of great photos to be taken so take a spare camera battery with you.
