“Powerful Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

The site is as powerful, intriguing and memorable as we've all heard. At sunrise it is truly magical and we enjoyed every moment.

“Great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

I loved this place but more so the temples around it rather than Angkor Wat itself!

The temples are fantastic and it's restoration is really good! The detailing of the and complexity is unreal!

I got there for sunrise which was nice and the photo opportunities are cool!

For $20 for a day pass you can't go wrong!

It does get very crowded but what would you expect?!?

Worth a visit! Baton and Tomb Raider temples were better in my opinion!

“Amazing Place But Everyone Knows it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Ok, there's no denying Angkor Wat is an incredible place to see and definitely worth a trip to Siem Reap (as are a number of the other temples and historical sites near by) but, quite naturally, everyone feels the same way! What this means is that this spectacular place is always completely overrun with people.

There's no helping that, as traveling and seeing stuff is what most folks are on Trip Advisor for, eh? Still, just be prepared that you won't get the majesty of a deserted temple to yourself, particularly if you're there to take photos.

What you can do to help yourself is go in the low season (though you may be hit by bad weather) or perhaps beginning or end of high season so you don't catch the worst of it, also go during the week and go early.

“#1 thing to see in Cambodia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Make sure you catch the sunrise over the temple. It's really beautiful and magnifies the beauty of the temple. Also, get a tour guide to tell you what everything is inside the temple. It is fun to explore, but lots of stairs (and obviously no arrangements for special needs). We also encountered a sudden downpour, so be prepared for weather!
