Nicely decorated hotel with small houses in a beautiful garden. Rivershaped pool, so everybody has the swimmingpool closeby. Very quiet place with nice bar and good breakfast. Just outside the city center of Siem Reap - in the direction of the temples, but always a tuktuk available which brings you in 10 minutes to the center.

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor with nice balcony

The resort has a very nice lay-out with bungalow/buildings spread out and a great swimming pool that is prolonged in form of a river meandering across the park. The rooms are perfect in terms of amenities and comfort. The dining rooms, little library and the bar - with excellent live piano - are beautifully furnished and together with the reception make it a large and comfortable space where to hang around. Dinner was simple but very well prepared. The breakfast buffet may be the weak part although one becomes picky when comparing with such places as the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok...Service is excellent, and the team eager to help with every detail of your stay. They allowed late check out which was very convenient and enabled us to change before heading to the airport in the evening.

Spent two nights at Angkor Village with 2 school-aged children in 2 adjoining rooms. Food is amazing, rooms very luxurious, and service excellent. We hired an English-speaking guide for a day of temple exploration, and we enjoyed him very much. Spent a second day in the amazing pool and spa. We wish we could have stayed longer.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

Spent ages selecting this hotel and was a little disappointed after a 3 night stay here. We booked an upstairs room, but when we arrived we were taken to a downstairs room near the edge of the resort and right next to the staff dining area. We asked to be moved to an upstairs room and this was eventually arranged. The room was very nice, but there were a few maintenance issues that never got fixed. One of the armchairs had a broken leg, so kept falling over. This was not fixed during our stay, so not possible to sit in it. The soap dispensers in the shower were hanging out of the wall. Not too problematic, but just an indication of a lack of attention to detail.

The pool was great, but there was quite a lot of building work going on next to the resort, so not that peaceful and relaxing. The resort is quite a way from the centre of Siem Reap, so we spent quite a lot of time on tuk tuks going back and forth.

On our first evening we booked a guide for a tour of the temples but unfortunately the staff member forgot to make the booking, so in the morning we had to wait quite some time while the hotel called a guide for us at the last minute. As we only had one full day to tour the temples, this was very disappointing due to the delayed start.

On the positive side, the bar and restaurants were very nice with good food and ambience. The staff were generally very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Go for an upstairs room - higher ceiling, feels more spacious

I spent 4 nights in this hotel with my family, including a toddler. I was impressed by the quality of the hotels that includes the service, the materials used, the architectural value and food.

This hotel was just the right choice for us as it provided a very relaxed atmosphere where we could enjoy the cuminary indulgancies of this beautiful country.

The room was of the highest standards both in terms of cleanliness, space, view and materials used.

The staff was as friendly and welcoming as one can be. I would highly recommend this to anybody even those who are used to the highest standards.
