“a must stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

this place is amazing. friendly staff, great design, amazing food. tuk tuk driver at your disposal 12hours per day free of charge. after that 2dollar per hour. our driver Sau was really genuine and friendly. towel is being changed twice a day unless you hang it on the bamboo rack. we only found out at the end of ourstay...so we got fresh towels twice a day. great dishs in the restaurant: grilled fish with spicy sweet mash potato. very friendly staff, they talk to you and are very helpful! this place deserves to be on number one in trip advisor.
thanks again for the nice experience!

We spent our last week in Cambodia staying at the Navutu Dreams Resort in January this year, as part of a 3.5 week trip in Cambodia.

We stayed in a Grand Tour room, which was absolutely gorgeous, and included a king size bed, large living area, with huge bath, large walk through robes, to a separate toilet and onto a beautiful bathroom, with double basin and a wonderful 'power' shower, with two big glass windows overlooking a small garden. The bungalows have a small, but good, balcony and are very spacious and luxurious in fittings and fixtures. We were fortunate enough to grab an opening bargain, and paid only US$155 p/n, which also included breakfast daily and a tuk-tuk driver each day for 12 hours.

The spa at the Navutu is absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed massages, facials, and body wraps almost everyday...whilst the costs for such pampering was a fraction of the cost we would pay in Australia, an additional 30 % discount on all spa services meant we enjoyed as many as we could fit into our stay!!! The two swimming pools are just great...one salt water, the other fresh water and getting a sunbed to laze around the pools was never a problem. The grounds are beautifully manicured and once established, will offer a little more privacy, which will be great; not that there is any issue with privacy, we often felt like we were the only guests staying at the resort.

The only downfall would be the breakfast, which is quite repetative, rather basic and meagre (small) serves. Having stayed at numerous hotels throughout Cambodia, all of varying standards and sizes, most offer fabulous buffet breakfasts; this not only increases the individual choices on offer, but guests only take what they want to eat, rather than what is served up and often not eaten. For a 5 star luxury resort, one would expect this to be on offer, considering what many smaller, less luxurious hotels can manage to provide elsewhere throughout the country.

In addition, I would also suggest that the restaurant includes pizzas on their menu; having dined at Il Forno restaurant (same owners) in town a few times, why, why, why would you not have your glorious pizzas on offer to enjoy whilst sitting and lazing around the pool at lunch time????

The staff at the Navutu Dreams resort were always friendly, funny and professional...thank you Ms Reaksmey for all of your assistance and efficiency in managing our booking via numerous emails, resulting in a brilliant stay at the resort. I enjoyed a very memorable birthday whilst staying at this spectacular resort and we certainly hope enjoy another relaxing and luxurious stay when we return to wonderful Siem Reap!!!

Highly reccommend staying at the newly established Navutu Dreams Resort!!!

We arrived at Navutu Dreams late in the evening and were greeted by a friendly staff and wonderful service that did not stop until we left.
The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect.
The spa was very relaxing and priced well. We had massages and facials and were pleased with all our treatments.
The restaurant had a wide array of food and all weredelicious. The breakfast was great and the eggs and bacon were made to order. The atmosphere was relaxing and quite, perfect after a day of sight seeing.
The room was clean, bright and spacious. We felt very comfortable.
The staff was exceptional, going out of the way to accomodate our schedule. We can't thank them enough!!
The hotel is away from the city center, and only takes 10 min to get there by Tuk-Tuk. We felt this added to it's value after battling crowds all day. It is quiet, private and intimate.
We will definately recommend this hotel to all our friends and hope to return in the near future.
Make sure to ask for Hang Borey if you need a guide for the temples, he is excellent.

Truely relaxing! We especially enjoy the morning swims in the pools (there is a fresh water pool and a salt water pool!) right next to the restaurant area, a perfect start to the morning. The friendly staff can even recognise me in my goggles! The breakfast was complete with exotic fruits, and generous portions of bread on top of the mains. The massage services in resort is fantastic, and not over priced. The free tuk-tuk service is very useful, and the driver assigned to us was professional and patient. The resort is well spaced out, the architecture and feel is great, and the rooms and facilities are well maintained. Thanks, Navutu Dreams for the memorable experience.

If you are after a place to relax and do nothing but read swim eat and sleep, this is the place. It is very quiet and feels like there is no one around but you. Most of the time you are the only one around, there are only 18 villas.
The food was excellent, I especially enjoyed the western lunch menu around the pool which seemed expensive for Cambodia but the servings were very large so great value. Having stayed in town for 5 nights just before we ate in every night and were the only people dining in, everyone else went into town. So if your after night life this is not the place for you.
Rooms are very spacious and well set out with enormous WIR that holds 2 large suitcases easily.

Room Tip: The larger villas are enormous and very private with great outdoor are for hanging around

I spent 2 nights at the Navutu Dreams Resort and Spa in March 2013. Although a relatively new hotel, the reviews I found here convinced me it would be a safe choice and indeed it was.

It’s a small resort of 18 rooms in two categories. We had an Explorer room which was more than enough for our needs. The room was spacious and the bathroom plenty large enough for two. A feature I’ve never seen before were the twin rain shower heads in the same area.

Pros:

The staff are all so friendly and smiley. At the front desk they know your name and go out of their way to help you!

The two pools (one salt and one fresh water) are perfect to relax in after trekking around the temples. Because there are only a maximum of 36 guests, it’s never busy and we really valued the opportunity to cool off in the afternoon.

It’s a beautiful setting with well-tended gardens and comfortable modern design in the rooms. Everything was clean and crisp and well done. There was plenty of room for the two of us and our paraphernalia in the room and the bathroom had twin sinks and showers.

Cons:

We managed to fall out with our remork driver (being the driver included in the price of the room) after we wanted to go to the Angkor complex in the morning, return to the hotel to relax and then go out again in the late afternoon. He seemed put out by the cost of the fuel and then begrudgingly took us in the afternoon but stopped talking to us! It was a bit of a shame as this was our last day at the hotel. It certainly didn’t taint the overall experience but for the sake of an honest and balanced review I feel I have to mention it. My overall impression was that this is the exception rather than the rule.

The resort is a bit far out of town but then that’s the price of such tranquility! You do need your remork driver to take you to dinner if you want to go out. At a guess it’s 15 minutes into town, and it’s on the wrong side of town for the temples so factor that into your decision if the peace and quiet are worth it. Unsurprisingly there is a 12 hour limit on having the driver but it’s only US$ 2 for each hour thereafter.

Lastly don’t expect too serious a workout in the gym. There are a few small weights and some cardio equipment.

Overall I would highly recommend a stay there and would readily return should I find myself in Siem Reap one day.

We loved our stay at Navutu Dreams- this resort is a real find! The staff is amazing, the grounds are beautiful, and the room is great. The only minor drawback to the room is that there is not much area to store your clothes; there are only a few shelves, but no cabinets/drawers in the standard rooms.

We loved the location-- being "out" of town with the accompanying peace and tranquility, after a long day of sightseeing, and being dusty and sweaty. It was lovely to come back to this retreat, with pools, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. The food at the restaurant was good, the gym very nice, the grounds well kept.

The breakfasts were rather simple; you have your choice of a number of things. It’s not a big buffet like many places we stayed; I imagine that a place of this small size couldn’t support a buffet. This isn’t a complaint; we certainly had nice breakfasts that were filling, just an observation and comparison.

We had a massage one day, the price is in line with the nicer places in town, and it was good to do it at Navutu to keep the relaxation on, after the massage!

We also took time to visit the Green Gecko Project, just a 7 minute walk down the road, which has taken kids off the street and given them education, a home, and a great future. This project is supported by Navutu, to some degree, I guess, and there's a link on the Navutu website about it.

We loved everything about this hotel. One thing to know-- although you should check first, but for us, we had, included in our price paid, a tuk-tuk driver devoted only to us, from 10 am to 10 pm. You could have him take you anywhere in the area! We'd already booked a guide for 3 days, for $$, independently, so we didn't "use" our tuktuk driver for those 3 days... but did at night on those days-- & then every day thereafter. This is an amazing amenity, available since Navutu is a ways out of town. Our driver, Mr. Wana was exceeding eager to please, polite, and very kind and considerate.

The pools (1 saltwater, 1 freshwater) are small, but lovely. Our room was a standard room, and they aren’t immediately on the pool, but to the side (maybe 15 paces away). No matter where your room is located, you're close to everything, the entire resort is very small, and it all feels very cozy and private.

Overall, loved this place. Can’t recommend highly enough!
