“Nice and fun hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

The owner of this is very friendly, nice, and fun. You can hang out in front of the hotel with the hotel owner and drivers. Even if you come visit Siem Reap alone, you can have a good time with them. Airport ride, Angkor Wat ride, both are fun.

Room Tip: Twin bed room

The rooms are clean. The staff are friendly. The stay was very comfortable for my family. The location is very close to the places that are nice to visit for shopping, eating and enjoying the city. You can walk to the night market to buy things. There are interesting restaurants to eat from. The bus can pick you up when you leave.

Room Tip: Choose a family room if you have children. The rooms are really big and comfortable.

Side Walk Hotel was a great choice for our 5 day stay in Siem Reap! The staff are very friendly and always willing to help you out (find a tuk tuk driver, show you directions, fix your cell phone etc...) The rooms are very clean and well kept. They're currently working on a pool which is part way done and looks so far very nice. We really enjoyed the hotel balconies that can be found on every level. Here you can hang out and watch the sunset over part of the city. I will be recommending this hotel to friends!

We booked 7 days through booking.com, due to family emergency, we had to leave Cambodia and head back to Taiwan after 2 nights. They charged us for only 2 nights because booking.com does not taking the money before-hand. Through-out our stay, we've experienced nothing but excellent services. Even though our room (double beds with A/C) was only for $20/night, we feel that this hotel strives for 5-star service: 24 hour breakfast; arrangement for transportation around the town and knowledgeable guides; pleasant and courteous staff. Thank you for making our Angkor Wat trip so memorable! They are located short-walk away from Lucky Mall and night markets. Rooms are spacious and clean. Beautiful building and front lobby.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, ask for a quiet room.

Located a bit outside the pub street area it's the perfect value for money combination. Rooms are clean and staff was kind.

Hint: the travel agency in front of the hotel has a little room for massage by blinds

We had a booking.com reservation that was made nearly a week in advance. Check-in time was 2pm and we arrived a little after 9pm (exhausted) only to be told that someone was in our room and it would not be available until 11:20pm. Found an alternative that allowed us to check-in right away, but it was a huge hassle at the end of a long day. Would not trust booking here.

We are very sorry for the error made with your booking. Unfortunately sometimes these things can happen and it is unfortunate for our customers to have to suffer as a consequence. We did offer an alternative hotel which was opposite our hotel and we explained to the customer that we would pay for their more expensive room for the night and then help them to move back to our hotel the next day. We take many bookings through booking.com and on this rare occasion we admit that we made an error of over booking the rooms. Please be assured that this will not happen again and as you can see from the many other fantastic reviews, our customers are always happy with their stay at the Side Walk Hotel.

Again, we are very sorry.

Booked this last minute and was very happy with the place. The rooms are large and have good facilities. It is located 5 min from Pub Street if you fancy a few drinks in a bar. The staff was exceptionally helpful and caring. Also good value for money. Highly recommended.
