“Great stay in Siem Reap.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

Top to bottom, this place is first rate. The property itself is beautiful, with a modern, stylish design, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. The hotel's kitchen filled the air with some great aromas during our stay, and the rice plate we had while waiting to head to the airport was really nice. And the location couldn't be better, just steps away from the night market and Pub Street. And Simon, one of the ex-pat owners, is a fascinating guy to talk to if he happens to be there during your visit, and is a source of great local dining recommendations. Great boutique hotel and so far the best I've stayed at in my 2-month Southeast Asian journey.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights visiting Siem Reap and the surrounding area. What made the difference is the great staff. They helped us with making arrangements for day trips, great recommendations for dinner, etc. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The hotel is also located right in the middle of the city. But located in a little alley which kept it relatively quiet. Great place! I would stay here again. And again.

Room Tip: Book early, its a small boutique hotel in the middle of the city.

Great staff, fantastic food and an atmosphere that makes you feel valued and welcome all delivered in a clean modern location is definitely a recipe for success.. and it shows..

The Purple Mangosteen is now on my "places i want to stay" list.. its just that so many other people also think this, and getting a room may be difficult.. but well worth a try. The roof top terrace is the perfect place to sup a cocktail and watch the sun go down over Siem Reap.

The Italian food is also fantastic, and served with a smile that the excellent staff never fail to deliver. I will be back for sure. Places like this really need to be experienced, a 5star rating just does not sum it up sufficiently.

A clean boutique hotel run by a lovely Khamer woman at a great price point. Little noisy at rush hour times as noise travels up the stair well, but for the price and location its a small compromise.
The bottom part of the spiral staircase needs a banister rail which they addressing.

As our guest may have read in the previous comment we are now working with the architect to find a nice compatible solution for the handrail at the bottom of the stairs. Thanks for the suggestions which we always try to take in to consideration.

I stayed at this little boutique hotel the weekend for Angkor Wat half Marathon. First impression of the place was that it was located right at the heart of the old quarters, wedged in between the night market and pub street.
I got a 4 pax bedroom that came with 2 single beds and a king size one. The room was very spacious and complete with all amenities. The only grouch I had was that the shower was entirely open concept which was rather inconvenient for 4 people sharing a room. Take note that the place is not convenient for people with knee problems as the way to the rooms are by the spiraling staircase, in my case 4 flights of stairs.
The owner a local lady was very helpful throughout my stay. She recommended excellent restaurants and spa boutiques to go to. She even helped to buy pepper and show us where to get the best mangoes from the market.
One thing to highlight is the roof top terrace on top of the hotel. At night, one can Just chill with drinks while gazing at the moon and stars.
The food served at the hotel is pretty decent as well. Highly recommend the mashed potato (infused with lemongrass ) and Pinko salad. The potatoes are not on the menu, but if you ask, I'msure they will make one for you.
Lovely place to consider if you are looking for a mid range hotel with a personal touch.

Stayed for two nights and the rooms are a delight. Hotel is central up a quiet street with an excellent bar/lounge area Ideal for people watching. Food was excellent and the hostess extremely helpful.
Slight criticisms would be central spiral staircase whilst querky may be difficult to negotiate. There is also a roof terrace which is open to the public, this entails none guests entering the hotel and passing your rooms via the central staircase, this I found a particular Intrusion on privacy and at times disturbing.

We were happy to get this kind of feedback which is very helpful and would like to ensure our guest that following their points and further discussion with the architects concerning the stairs they are now designing a new handrail and we are also reviewing the question of whether to limit the access to the terrace for guests only.

This small boutique hotel has only a 6 rooms, it's ideally located in the heart of Siem Reap with a lot of resturants markets and shops nearby. The manager Polly (she speak a perfect english and Italian) is really a kind person, very helpful; she arranged for us an Angkor temple sunrise tour simply perfect and at good price.
The rooms are comfortable, well furnished, very clean and quiet despite the hotel being right in the center (pedestrian area).
I loved the decor of the rooms, simple but functional, with natural materials (wood and stone) and with a wide and clean bathroom.
The hotel has also a terrace on top, where you can stay and try a very very special "Lemon Grass Mojito" (huge cocktail!!) or you can have dinner on top.
The purple Mangosteen is the best hotel we stayed in Cambodia and I recommend it to all those who visit Siem Reap and the wonders of the temples of Angkor.
I would really like to thank Polly (the manager) for the hospitality that has given us!
