“Nice welcome back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

I didn't stay here this year as I was staying with a friend just outside the town. I came in to say hi and ask if they minded me using the wifi, which of course they didn't. I also ate here a few times. The menu is varied with a mixture of Khmer & western food, loved the smoothies!
Service could not have been better, always a friendly welcome and help with improving my Khmer.
A great place if you are travelling alone as they are always up for a chat.
The town is in easy walking distance (around 10 minutes)
Just remember it is a different pace of life out here, which to me is the attraction of a holiday.
Thanks very much and I'll see you next year x

$60-70 AUD in reil went missing from a pair of shorts that went to their in house laundry service. When we approached the staff, they were not prepared to investigate and basically turned their back on us in relation to the missing money. The laundry lady come down and denied ever seeing the money. We were charged $20 per night despite finding the advertised price on the Internet to be $12-15. We came here in a tuk tuk and took their word. We stayed in two different rooms for 4 nights and found both rooms to have old a/c's, they were too smal, noisy and battling to cool the room down with such high ceilings. The towels were not present in the rooms in both cases and had to go and ask for them. The linen was really well worn, towels were old, odd sizes and colors and the mattress was a slab of foam. Be prepared to bring your own pillows.

Room Tip: View room prior to committing yourself to stay here.

We stayed here for 3 days while we were visiting Ankor. Really nice big rooms. AC, TV, Pool, really couldn't ask for more.
The place is very clean, very well priced, and had good food. They were able to set up all of of Tuk Tuk rides and our bus to Bangkok.

We spent there 3 days and that was enough. Extremely impolite service! I needed to turn 50$ into smaller notes so I went to the reception to do it. The guy was researching the note for a few minutes and finally he said that he 'wasn't trusting that one' and he flatly refused to exchange it. Needless to say, the note was genuine, I got it in the bank :/ Also, when we were leaving, very early in the morning, another guy ran after us exclaiming that we didn't pay for some food! It was a nonsense, as we ate there only once, and we paid right after eating. Another problem was that our room wasn't cleaned at all during our stay. Finally, look for a tuk tuk driver somewhere far from the hotel: very few of these around the place offer a reasonable price for trips.

You will find way better places to stay in Siem Reap! This one should be avoided.

5/10 minutes walking distance to town centre. Rooms are big with bath, hot water, ac, tv & wifi. Restaurant service with reasonable prices. Two pc at disposal at the hall area and a small pool that is really welcome in a hot day. Good option in Siem Reap

We arrived late from the border and just wanted to check in and take a shower. The room looked nice at the first glance but once I took a look into the bathroom I was more than disgusted. It stank very bad and the toilet was dirty. The whole bathroom was a nightmare. Also it was pretty noisy. The breakfast at the restaurant was pricy and not good. The staff was annoyed if you asked them something and they were not very nice!
One good thing is that the location is pretty central- 10 minute walk to the old market and the night market. But I would never return there!

We arrived pretty late from the border and so feeling pretty tired after hours on the bus jumped in a tuk tuk at the bus station and not knowing much about the area asked the driver to take us to a guesthouse, somewhere not too expensive, and he took us here, to Siem Reap Temple Villa. The tuk tuk itself was pretty cheap (about $1.50) and from the outside the place looked nice, pool, plants etc and the driver had told us the rooms were $10 so we went in to get a room.

When we asked the receptionist how much the rooms were he said $15 for a double room, and when we said the driver had said 10 he said ok straight away, no hesitation, not really sure how to interpret that but seemed like he was trying to rip us off? Though I'm not sure to be honest.

We got into the room, had a shower, checked the internet and decided it was time to jump into bed. Pulled back the covers to find a very brown white bed sheet, had a quick smell of it and no exaggeration, it smelt like it had not been washed for weeks, being used by many sweaty travellers!

So we went to the front desk and asked for clean sheets and the receptionist just said that there are no clean sheets as it it night time so everyone is at home (sort of fair enough I suppose, but annoying none the less). I asked him why they were dirty in the first place to which he just replied 'nobody stays more than one night, so no time to wash sheets'

Disgusting...!

Room Tip: Find a room with clean sheets... might take you a while though!
