“Great place for tourist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

This nice looking restaurant located very near pub street is a good place if you have never had Cambodian food. Outside you will see fresh seafood and meats being grilled on charcoal and this is apparently the specialty here. On the menu they have the usual Cambodian fare like Lok Lak, Banana Flower Salad, Fish Amok, they also have a tapas set that lets you sample 9 types of Cambodian dishes in nicely presented banana leaf bowls.
The food was nothing special for me as I have sampled lots Khmer food all over Cambodia these last 6 years. Most of the dishes were mild in the herbs and spices that is normal here to make it easy for newcomers i guess.
Prices are slightly higher than average but for the ambiance, service and presentation made it worthwhile.
I am giving this restaurant a high rating only because TP is mostly for tourist and this is a good place for them. As an expat, I won't be going back again unless i am taking visitors.

“Good tasting menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

We spotted the restaurant on our walk to the night market, each night it had diners which is always a good sign. Our dinner was split between the tasting menu and BBQ meat, both were very well cooked and had very good flavours. The tasting menu is 12 items for 12 US, it comprised 3 salad starters, 4 mains with rice and 4 deserts. The place is very clean, the staff are friendly and efficient. Good food and worth the little extra we had to pay, 28 US including a tip for dinner and water!

“Simply great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

After having had a stroll around Siem Reap in the afternoon, we decided on this place for dinner. The reviews in Trip Advisor were also very good, so we thought it would be the right place. And sure it was! We ordered the Khmer menue thrice, for us and our two children aged 7 and 10. We got three courses with 3 - 4 different types of food, with the waiters explaining every single bit - unfortunately, their explanations were not always easy to understand. But that made our dinner a bit more adventurous. And I must say, i liked every part of what we got, even if I was not always quite sure what it actually was. In fact, it was one of the best Asian menues we had during our trip here in South-East Asia - and we have now been on the road for four weeks. The wine list was also quite remarkable - we chose a d'Arenberg Chardonnay blend, one of my favourite Australian winemakers, and we did not regret it. Finally, the service was simply extraordinary - when our youngest son had a bit too much chili, we had two waiters immediately offering help, in the form of sugar sirup and ice cubes. All in all, we paid 86 § for our dinner, which is not cheap - but 40$ was for the wine, so, after all, it is still good value. In short: this is a place to really enjoy your dinner!

“Taste Cambodia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

We stumbled upon this whilst walking from the hotel to the market. A successful stumble it was too. Great atmosphere, super staff, a good menu and even better prices. What took us in was the sampler menu on offer. A nine course taster of different Cambodian dished ( the ninth course was desert which itself consisted of 3 different dishes) which was most enjoyable and interesting. A very fitting way to start the weekend. Not everything would be to everyone's tastes but it is well worth trying. The meal for four people with beers and cocktails cost a reasonable $58. Try in.
