“Fresh and delicious Khmer food run by very warm Khmer family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

This locally owned family restaurant is just down the ally off the main tourist street (Pub street) and it serves up delicious, authentic Khmer dishes as well as western meals at an affordable price. I go here nearly every week for the 6 months I'm here as It's my favourite restaurant in Siem Reap, and the owners are lovely- always welcoming and friendly. They even donated a prize meal to one of my NGO's fundraising events. The ambience of the restaurant is also nice- spacious with outside tables and comfortable chairs

“Excellent Local Food- Cool Temp Dining Area- Cheap Prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2012

My wife and I eat at For Life at least twice a week. The restaurant is in a small alley just off pub street- close to the action but away from the crowds. The Khmer food is excellent- try the salads, frog (in season) and fish amok. The burgers are OK but, as opposed to most Khmer burgers, they do not come drenched in sweet ketchup. The place is usually half full with ex-pats, especially the 20 something NGO crowd. Prices come to about 4 dollars per meal and 50 cents for a draft beer. For Life serves whiskey/wine but they are not really a bar although a lot of people hang out there, eat finger food and drink beer. The place is very clean and the temp is always pleasant- cool without the stale smell of some over ACed places in Siem Reap. Service is very good.

“Khmer Food and Khmer Family Operated”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2012

Everything is good. I've eaten here most days for two weeks. It's fantastic food made with love by a Khmer family. A great way to explore Khmer cuisine. Tremendously nice people and cheap beer too.

“excellent restaurant run by locals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2011

This little restaurant is tucked away in an alley just off Pub Street. It is owned and run by a local Khmer family, with family members working the restaurant. Mom does the cooking.
Service is slow (believe only one person is cooking) but the food is worth the wait. Possibly some of the best Khmer food in town. Very fresh with excellent complex flavors. Portions are generous and very inexpensive. For a large main dish, $2.5-3.
Excellent restaurant!
