“Special evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

We went to Cuisine Wat Damnak after a few of our friends had an excellent meal there last week. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The restaurant is small and private. The owner of the restaurant greeted us and wanted to know if we had an food allergies. The menu is a set menu and you have two choices. The menu I wanted included something with Mango which I'm allergic to. She had the chef prepare that item with a different fruit which was delicious. We had a wonderful dinner which was finished off by an amazing dessert. Maybe because I haven't had chocolate for a week and I was ready for some, but the "Pot of Chocolate" was over the top!

“Best Restaurant in Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013 via mobile

The food you get served is extremly fresh and tasty. Actually it was one of my best meals I ever had - simple, local, delicouse, just on the point what you can expect from a honest chef who knows how to prepare the best food with the local products available. If you then compare the quality of food with the price you pay for it...it's just not real - excellent job! Keep up the great work and I will be back :-)

“Bowled over”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

We had a bit of difficulty getting a table here but were bowled over by the first of the two set dinners on offer. Interesting ingredients in flavourful combinations and beautifully presented. The portions are not huge, but at our stage in life this is welcome. The decor and the service were also of high quality, right down to the tamarind sweets which came with the bill. One of the best meals we have ever eaten in a restaurant - no doubt pricey for Siem Reap but a steal by UK standards.

“Not for me”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

I can understand why foodies like this restaurant - seasonal ingredients cooked with flair. However, our meal was more 'interesting' flavours in creative combinations rather than actually tasty, satisfying or filling. Add to that it felt like a crime to spend so much on a meal in such a poor country - by far the most expensive meal we had in Cambodia and there were other places I wish we had spent our money.
