“A delightful and charming restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

When you pass in the Siem Reap you definitely should have lunch or dinner at Father’s Restaurant. They serve many kinds of dishes. Their food is a combination of Khmer traditional food and western favourites. I ordered spring rolls as appetizer and fried rice as main course. Especially the fried rice had a great flavour due to the Khmer ingredients in addition to the ginger. The hamburger is a must. My friend was really pleased with it. It is hard to point how they make the orange sauce added to the hamburger but it makes it one of the best in town. If you are interested in a quick snack you can have a pizza baguette. Their own made tomato pastry highlights the taste. They also have a large choice of coffees. My favourite is the ice coffee with milk. It has a strong, mild aroma with a sweet touch. Father’s restaurant is easy to find. It is located very close to the Old Market. It is situated in a quieter street which makes it easy to have a chat with your friends. The interior of the restaurant is basic but cosy. The restaurant is owned by a lovely Cambodian family. Their daughter Ms. Langdy Lim manages the place. She is a very friendly and will help you with all your inquiries. Due to the personal service you really feel relaxed and can have an enjoyable meal. I also heard many positive recommendations about the Cambodian traditional “Amok”. For sure I will try this one on my next trip.

“Very delicious khmer food, do not miss!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

We were visiting Siem Reap in March and went there twice. Food was excellent, everything we ordered was very tasty and for such a good price. Service was very good too. We wish we had more time in town to go back for more to this little family run restaurant. We had beef lok lak, khmer curry, and prahok with pork (can't remember exact name..). All suggested!

“Great place to eat in Siem Reap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Chose this place because of the writeup in the local Siem Reap tour magazine and was NOT disappointed. The Khmer Curry was good and the Fish with Tamarind Sauce also excellent. Also recommend the Sweet and Sour Fish, Shrimp with Cashew Nut, and the Morning Glory vegetables. The fruit shakes were amazing (had Lime shake and tried my friend's Mango shake). They also serve fresh coconut juice in the shell of the coconut.

We arrived to an empty restaurant that was quickly filled with about 20 people from an organized tour. Even though we had ordered first, they received their food first although we did get our drinks and appetizers right away. I completely understand this strategy as that large of a crowd does not often happen by and the staff did make sure we had our food as soon as possible.

This food was worth waiting a little longer for and the staff were extremely friendly. I would eat here again and highly recommend to others.

“The place to eat in Siem Reap!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

We were a family group of five (Canada, Thailand, two of which Cambodian-born) and we loved the casualness and tasty meals there. We ate there twice during our four-day stay in the city and would probably have gone more often had we found the place earlier. Many, many choices of dishes offered, that's what sets it apart from the other touristy restaurants.
