If you are something of a "foodie" I really wouldn't recommend this restaurant to you. Being on quite the backpacker budget, my boyfriend and I chose Father's as other reviewers seemed to praise it for both its authentic fare and its good value. Sadly Father's just didn't deliver. We ordered the wantons to start, which were fine. We then had the Khmer Red Curry and what was supposed to be the Pepper Fried Tofu. Funnily enough, I had a feeling that waiter was a bit distracted so I kept referring to the menu item # and pointed to the picture repeatedly. When our mains arrived it all went downhill. I was quite surprised when I bit into what was meant to be a piece of tofu, but was met with hard bone. When I asked what this was to a different waiter he informed me it was battered pork ribs - after explaining that this was not what I'd ordered he whisked it away and came out with my proper dish a few minutes later. Just to clarify, the waiter who had put in the wrong order came over and gave us a very genuine apology, and I understand mix ups happen. However I have to say that the food was pretty bland and tasteless, it really was no better priced than the many other restaurants nearby, and definitely wasn't as nice as some Khmer food we've had elsewhere. If you are going to all the energy of seeking out a nice restaurant I would suggest you continue your search.
