We were taken here by the tuk-tuk driver who drove us into town from the bus station and simply we were too tired to look elsewhere. The twin & double rooms were $7 a night so not expensive, but I'd rather pay a bit more and be able to sleep. We stayed for 3 nights and honestly, when we left we felt sleep deprived. We stayed in Regent & the other one opposite on the ground floor and both rooms were windowless: I'd never stayed in such a room before and never will again. Also the fans in the rooms were ridiculously noisy so in order to block out the sound you have to wear ear plugs, but this only muffles the noise so it is impossible to sleep properly. The beds were clean but so very old and worn out that the mattress had no structure and so again this provided another sleep hurdle and the pillows were extremely lumpy. The bathrooms were clean but the water did not drain properly after having a shower and so for quite some time after had to wade through undrained water. Though on a positive note, the staff were friendly & helpful and there was a nice rooftop cafe. If you stay here, just check the rooms first, primarily for a window, as hopefully there are better rooms on the upper floors.
