“Well worth $40/ night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2011

I stayed in Siem Reap during Chinese New New Year and know that many places were charging 100% more than what they are really worth in Cambodia. With this hotel- you get what you pay for- an elegant room and a lovely small but secluded roof-top pool and relaxation area that you will actually use.
Very attentative staff- e.g. I had just hired up a bike up the road ($1 a day for a mountain bike!) and before I had even parked the bike outside, the front desk staffer met me outside and showed me the staff parking area where my bike could be left safely overnight. I hadn't even mentioned I was hiring a bike. That kind of help was typical and having stayed long term in China not at all what I was used to!

The service
Elegant and helpful along with great English. The manager was trained at The Sofitel and he in turn has trained his staff to the highest standard. n

The room
The rooms are large. $40, for single, double or twin including breakfast, so book a twin if it is available.
There are plenty cheaper hotels in Sieam Reap, but not for the quality. It opened late 2010 so the prices are low while they build business. This place has a pool and an elevator, which after days of dragging out stuff up flights of stairs, we really appreciated. It compares well to hotels that charge twice the price.

location & amenities
This hotel is set back just a little from the busy Pub Street. It is close to the Night market, but not so close that you will be kept awake by the noise.

Say what you liked best & least
Peaceful and elegant. It is and absolutely wonderful place. Worth the splurge if you are a budget/backpacker traveller. Worth the saving for those with a bit more to spend but still wanting the luxuary of fruit in the room, a turn down service, and marble bathroom.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2010

We are regular travelers to Siem Reap, and have stayed in numerous hotels and guesthouses ranging from $12us to $80us. This hotel is by far the best value for money, The plus's are a short walk to Old market and all restaurants. tea coffee making, and all the things you get in a five star room. The pool is roof top, not large but in the hot times, would cool you down after the temples. Elevator is a plus which you only get in the up market hotels. and the staff still think we can't open a door. always smiling and friendly, With breakfast included, (not your normal bread roll and jam) bacon eggs etc, This hotel would suit any travel who likes a little comfort (soft beds), fold down service, the odd bowl of fruit arriving at the room when we had guests, and on departing a free bottle of wine the previous night. The hotel really tries to impress, and succeed. well done.
