Great hotel. lots of freebies like a free complimentary massage, meal, etc.
There's enough reviews already so i don't need to go into the details.
I was happy with my stay in every way here. I highly recommend this place!

This hotel is 5 star quailty, the rooms are beautifully decorated as is the rest of the hotel. The hotel is spotless clean the food was great. The pool is amazing especially after a hot day visting the temples. I had an amazing massage by a very professional team at the spa.The location could not be any better, walking distance to the centre of the town were all the action happens .But what really makes this hotel is the staff. They are very friendly and polite and could not do enough for you. I have no problem recommending this hotel.Keep up the good work guys.

The Golden Temple Hotel certainly lived up to its good reviews. I had booked for 4 nights at the beginning of October for another couple (with whom we had already spent 2 weeks travelling through Laos) as well for as for my husband and myself. My friend's comment was : "Well, you've outdone yourself this time!"
The beauty of the foyer and reception area just hits you as you first walk in. It is so colourful and so beautifully decorated with Khmer artefacts and furnishings. The staff are very welcoming and attentive to your every need. All staff members, not just those at reception, greet you whenever you pass them. If you sit at one of the computers in the lobby area or on one of the chairs around the pool, a staff member brings you a pot of tea and a plate of peanuts or cashews.

We enjoyed all the freebies: complimentary massage, Khmer bbq meal at the restaurant and picnic lunch. We also had a free airport pick-up.

Our room overlooking the pool was beautifully furnished and decorated and had a wonderful view. The only thing we didn't much like was the shower placement which made the bathroom floor wet, but that is very common in SE Asia and so not a great surprise. We really appreciated the 2 dvds that were for our use in the room: a history of Angkor Wat (which we found helpful to view before we went out there the following day) and the movie The Killing Fields which we watched before going to Phnom Penh and seeing the jail and killing fields there. That movie was a must-see for anyone travelling in Cambodia. (We also bought the book First They Killed My Father from one of the disabled street sellers. This is definitely a must-read book for anyone's stay in Cambodia.)

Anyway, back to the hotel - the breakfast was delicious and enormous - too much really. We couldn't believe that the cost of doing the laundry was the same cost as it was in the laundry places out on the street: $1 a kilo - cheapest hotel laundry price I've ever come across.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. Staff at Reception made several phone calls on our behalf and also booked our bus to Phnom Penh. The website of the bus company, Giant Ibis, said the cost was $13 but Golden Temple only charged us $12.

We think the staff at this hotel work very hard to please their guests and so they really earn their high rating. We certainly recommend it to everyone and we will certainly go back there if we return to Siem Reap.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the pool.

Better late than never with the review....myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Golden Temple Hotel, Siem Reap for 6 days (5 nights) in June. When we arrived at Siem Reap airport we were greeted by one of the hotels tuk tuk driver, who was extremely pleasant and ended up being our driver for the majority of our stay. We were taken straight to the Golden Temple Hotel and we weren’t disappointed!

Upon our arrival we were greeted by the very pleasant front staff, who constantly had a smile on their face. Due to us being early, our room was not ready, however, we were led to the swimming pool where we were told to wait. During our wait, we were brought drinks and nibbles, all provided by the hotel. When we were taken to our room, we were very happy. We were on the 1st floor and overlooked the pool. We had a four poster bed, and a quaint little bathroom. The room was spotless, and the décor was lovely – as was the décor throughout the rest of the hotel.

As part of our welcome package, we received a free massage each, a free evening meal each and a free pack lunch each on a day of our choice. We made good use of all these offers!
After reading other reviews about this hotel, I had decided the main thing I wanted to do was a cookery class, so my partner and I booked in with the cook, Nary, for the class. We were given a leaflet with different types of meals and we were to pick a starter, mains and dessert to cook. When we arrived at the cooking area, Nary was already present preparing the ingredients. In total there were 3 of us doing this class, this seemed like a good number as it meant Nary was able to help us all. The class was brilliant. I really enjoyed the 2 hours and Nary was so lovely and such a brilliant teacher. We’ve even attempted to cook some of the dishes since being back in England (not as well as Nary’s quality unfortunately!). I would highly recommend this cooking class, it was such good fun, and we got to eat the food after (so miss out on breakfast that morning, because there was A LOT of food!).

Whilst on the subject of food, we really can’t fault them. The choice of breakfast was amazing and so well presented. Even the pack lunch we took to the temples were well presented. Whilst sat round the swimming pool, staff would often bring fruit, nuts (which were amazing) and Chinese tea.

The staff at the Golden Temple Hotel were nothing but accommodating, hardworking, pleasant and made our holiday memorable. We can’t give any negative comments and would recommend this hotel to anyone. We really hope that maybe one day we will be able to return.

We stayed at Golden Temple for the second time in two years having traveled all the way from the UK. We couldn't wait to go back to Siem Reap and stay at Golden Temple. Our first stay was wonderful but our second stay was even better because I could see the improvements the hotel made. There were a number of little extras that just made our stay even better. The staff even remembered us after 1.5 years which was so sweet. Highly recommend Siem Reap and this hotel!

Room Tip: Take advantage of the great spa services at such reasonable prices.

Me and my partner spend about 6 weeks in Siem Reap every year. We have stayed at this hotel twice (once in June 2011) and again in March 2012.

As always the staff at this hotel are extremely well trained, attentive and friendly. In Cambodia these skills are sometime hard to come by!

The hotel is ideally situated around a 7 minute walk or 3 minute tuk-tuk from the centre of town (Psah Chah - Old Market) along a metalled road. The rooms are comfortable, with good quality matresses and air conditioning plus a fridge and safe (check the room rate first!).

This hotel has several floors and the 2nd floor upwards will give you a great view out across the town on the Eastern (pool facing) side. The West facing side is on to the Siem Reap hostel which is equally as large.

The building is still only a few years old and so still appears fresh and clean. You will see staff constantly brushing away the day's dust. The pool is well maintainted and refreshing if only slightly small - but given the location this is understandable!

Food is good and reasonably priced and there is a reasonable selection of local dishes and a few Western options. There 3 set breakfast menus that are excellent and usually included in the room price. You will also be provided with a basic packed lunch on one day during your stay which while basic means one less thing to think about.

There is are onsite massages available and some room rates offer a free 30 minute massage. Please don't forget to tip the massage staff a dollar or two as wages in Cambodia are low!

Since this place opened we have noticed many other hotels beginning to emulate some of the touches and services which obviously bears testament to its quality.

The only thing is that while this hotel used to be the best place to stay at in its price range several other hotels have copied the concepts and offer them at a cheaper price. You will also likely find that its 16 or so rooms are nearly always occupied throughout the year so booking your exact dates may be problematic.

However if your used to paying $100 per night for a travel lodge style room at home you will not be disappointed with this price and the service and quality offered and frankly it is still very good value for money.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it's amazing. My Gf rates this as her favorite hotel and favorite vacation place. The service is excellent, and they try to accommodate us even as we checked out. Our flight left late at night so they moved us to another room until the next d guest checked in an hour later to the new room. It's walking distance to Pub street, night market, old and new market. The kitchen service is 24 hrs and the perks are great : free massages, free Cambodian lunch, free picnic basket, free Internet in the lobby 24 hrs ( they have several desktops in the lobby for guests use) etc etc. the swimming pool is small but nice. But it only opens until 7-8 PM. They also would arrange for your driver for the temple tours. The hotel looks gorgeous and restaurant food is delicious.
