“Service beyond the extra mile”

3 things for loving Sam So Guesthouse:
1. Personalized Service that went beyond expectations
2. Strategic Location
3
. Affordable and economical

We stayed here from Feb. 3 to 4. My friends and I were surprised when Mr. Sam So (the owner) and Ms. Tivi picked us up. Also with them was Vitu, their cute son.

When we got to the guesthouse, , we first took a rest in their cozy room. We were again very happy because among the hotels and guesthouses in Siem Reap, they were the only one who allowed me and 4 of my friends in one room.

We were also lucky because Mr. Sam So is a tour guide (and he got an award before). He and his wife arranged our itinerary during our remaining days in Siem Reap for free! Since we got our plan from the best, our tour was the "awesome-mest!"

Although we checked out 5hrs before our flight back to Manila, their personalized service never stop. Ms. Tivi offered their toilet just for us to freshen up/take a bath before heading to the airport at 4pm.

To seal our stay in Cambodia, we were truly humbled when Mr. Sam So (thru Ms. Tivi who was there to arrange our departure) made a phone call for his well-wishes to us and to check if we had a good stay. :)

If you want a memorable stay in Siem Reap, book a room here! :)

We arrived by bus at 1am and a courtesy pickup was waiting for us...everyone is so friendly and smiley, the service is fantastic. This is a great place to stay! Free coffee and tea, a fantastic tuk tuk driver to take you around Ankor and great location.

Room Tip: Our room on the bottom floor was a little noisy early morning...2nd and 3rd floor much more quiet

We stayed 2 nights and were very happy with our stay. The rooms were clean and good water pressure in the shower. They helped us organize tours for the temples as well as bike rental and buses. Breakfast is included - simple but adequate. They said they would pick us up from the bus station however our bus was 2 hours late getting in at 1am and no one was there. However, others from different guesthouses had the same experience. Overall a good stay, good location.

With a free airport pickup and a peaceful location this place really eased us into our stay in Cambodia. Everyone was really friendly and helpful and the rooms were kept exceptionally clean. It is close enough to the old market and Pub Street to stroll to.
We have already booked another night's stay here for when we return to Siem Reap at the end of our holiday.

We stayed here for three nights, and we're very happy to find that the room was very clean, and the staff were amazing! We were late getting into Siem Reap, and they stayed up in the office and had worried about us as they had heard of a bus accident.

When we did get in, we were very warmly greeted, and we were set up with our room, and a tuktuk/tour guide for Angkor Wat in a short matter of time. The room itself is very clean, and is a suburb value for price, we stayed in a double AC room. It was cleaned everyday, new towels and new water.

Our first day we asked about getting to the National Museum, and Mr. Sam So himself drove us there in his car, giving us a whole bunch of insight into the Siem Reap area. The guesthouse is actually very centrally located, no more than a 10-15 minute walk to Pub Street and the night market, but far enough away to be very quiet at night.

Our second day was for Angkor Wat, and when we left for the sunrise tour at 5AM, Mr. Sam So was there to make sure we got off safely!m

We arranged transport to Poi Pet though the guesthouse as well, and got a good deal for the bus. they arranged transport to the bus, and made sure that we had a filling breakfast prior to leaving.

We would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anybody staying in Siem Reap, and will be staying there the next time in Siem Reap.

The best customer service we have received in the past 10 weeks thru south east Asia. Everyone @ Sam So had a smile on their face; everyone said hello or good morning; all our requests are assisted no matter how insignificant they are, nothing seems too much trouble; the room was serviced everyday, which is not normally the case in guest houses in this part of the world; breakfast was not luxury, but good enough to keep you going for a while,3 slices of bread, an egg, butter & jam, fresh fruits, variously fruits served each day, tea & coffee, and very nicely presented; the rooms don't have any particular view, and not necessarily to be the best rooms in the area, but they are clean with good AC, and many English channels, whats more, they have very comfortable pillows, we had a twin room, but the single bed s big enough for a couple, and that's all what you really need after a hot day in the sun. Thruout our stay, we were treated like friends with respects. The young hostess,Mrs Sotheavy is a very pleasant lady to deal with, email her samsoguesthouse@yahoo.com if you would like to stay, as they are often fully booked. Also if you arrive late, they can arrange pickup. Last but not least, thank you Mrs Sotheavy for waving us goodbye in the hot weather until the car turned, that was really personal and touching.
