“Fine stay but can improve........”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Frangipani is pleasant, really nice staff, rooms are of good size and the pool is a good size and well maintained.
My reason for giving this an 'average' rating is because there is an amazing volume of great hotels in Siem Reap all with great hospitality, nice staff good rooms and pools that this hotel did nothing special for me.
The food needs serious improvement and the service staff needs serious attention. Ordering food by the pool was quite disasterous (we did it 3 times) why??? Well we thought we had a bad experience one day so lets try again and also was with a small child and was convienient and relaxing to eat by the pool........
An improvement here would really improve the whole experience. Had no electrical/power cut etc...

We couldn't believe how friendly and helpful the staff were here. I wouldn't go anywhere else. We had problems with the air-con first night but were quickly given an upgrade. The hotel is very clean and has a lovely atmosphere. Food is delicious, especially the buffet breakfast. Anything you need just ask. Location is perfect, about 10 minute walk to the market and pub street, or $2 tuk tuk ride.

Room Tip: Pool view balcony rooms are worth the money.

We stayed here with our 3 young kids and with another family. The staff are always accommodating even when they are short staffed at peak times. We loved the way the hotel is so pretty and so central. We went in April and the pool was as warm as a bath by the early afternoon, but it didn't seem to bother the kids so much.

We did have some trouble with the air conditioning the 1st night - it was really not cool enough. But after we requested that the hotel top up the gas for the air conditioning, the air cond was plenty cold.

Food was lovely there as well. Beds were really soft if you like that sort of thing.

The massage was great - especially a particular masseus named Cham Na. I'm very fussy with massages but after telling her just how I like it, she did such an awesome job that I booked in again the following day.

All in all, a great affordable hotel - I'd come back again!

Room Tip: Air cond must be cold!

We loved our stay here. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the location close to markets was good. We enjoyed the breakfast which offered a good choice. We also chose to eat there in the evening and had a perfectly cooked steak. The pool and garden area were lovely. The rooms had comfy beds and all amenities and although the bathroom wasn't nice to look at, there was plenty of hot water and a powerful shower over the bath. What more can you ask of a hotel?

Room Tip: We had a room over the pool and garden which was lovely.

Such a lovely place. The rooms are nice and clean, and the service is excellent. The pool is a wonderful oasis from the heat and chaos. Highly recommend over every other place I have stayed in cambodia. (I've lived here two years :) ) bonus, they have places in Phnom Penh and offer a discount to stay in sister hotels. Also, the spa is amazing!!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our four-night stay here. There were a few small issues but I have mostly only great things to say and you'd be making a good choice if you stay here.

The good:
- Lovely welcome and easy check-in
- The staff were always so friendly and helpful
- Great location, 10-15 minute walk to pub street across and close to temples etc.
- Great, clean room (smelt amazing) with a comfy bed and covers, tea/coffee, great shower and bathroom, decent TV, great room service
- Fantastic pool with towels and beds and we enjoyed great food and drinks poolside from the restaurant
- Breakfast was good (not spectacular), good egg station, fruit, bread, some hot food etc.
- We enjoyed the reliable bike hire across the road
- The Tuk Tuk drivers out the front of the hotel were always friendly and never tried to rip us off
- The spa was lovely (slightly expensive compared to other places)
- Great wifi

The kind of bad:
- We asked about four times to have our leaky, weak aircon fixed but it never was. We could have complained further and asked for a different room but it wasn't completely unbearable.

- Check the mini bar when you arrive in the room with a staff member as they tried to charge us for an item that wasn't even there in the first place. The same thing happened to some people checking out at the same time who insisted they didn't have something but paid anyway to avoid an issue.

Room Tip: You could request a pool view as our view was not great
