“AMAZING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

Dinner here on our last night before heading home. Great service, innovative menu and lovely ambience. Expensive by local standards but totally worth it!!!

I will make a beeline for this place next time in SR

Try the steamed chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet

“Excellent food and drinks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Excellent location, air-conditioned (not very common in the area), excellent quality of food and drinks. Slightly more expensive then outside, but I had an encore serve of their honey comb ice cream, so I'll say it's worth it.

“Right in central Pub Street area, air conditioned (one of the very few), and surprisingly delicious tapas style food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

What a pleasant surprise. My fiance and I stopped at the Raffles for a drink on a quiet Tuesday night in May and asked the concierge for an air conditioned dinner suggestion. Without hesitating he recommended AHA. We were dubious because we had not heard of it before either in TripAdvisor, our guide books, or in our numerous conversations with people around town. But we were desperate for air con so we went ahead. And wow what a pleasant surprise. Our thoughts below:

PROS
- Wonderful tapas style menu that comes in sets of 4 or 5 mini dishes for about $8 each
- Food was wonderful and arrived fairly fast
- We liked the contemporary and veggie small plate options, both very good
- Service was fine and there were no kinks
- Ambiance is modern and tasteful

CONS
- It was eerie quiet during our dinner, they don't play music, not even low level ambiance music
- The aircon is not strong in here, it's just cool enough to be borderline comfortable
- It's definately on the higher end of the pricing spectrum for good food in the area but only by a dollar or two and it's worth it for the air con

When we come back, this will be on our list of places to visit again. Enjoy!

“Great food, original decor and friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

Went for a meal as a group of 15. Decor and atmosphere is great. Attractive lampshades made out of cable ties and interesting works of art for sale. Good wine selection. Food was delicious, well presented and very reasonably priced.

“Fantastic, sophisticated & reasonably priced.”

Great service. Good wine list. The contemporary 'tapas' like platter was one of the best things I have eaten in years.mhighly recommend this restaurant opposite the chaos of the old market.
