“Fantastic Guide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

I have been fortunate to visit Siem Reap on a couple of occasions and do two tours with this organisation. On both visits i have combined an interest in birds with an equal interest in the temples and stuctures for which the Siem Reap region is rightly famous. I have happily had the same guide on both visits (Sophoan) who has a fantastic bird knowledge and very keen eyes plus is a registered temple guide with a wonderful knowledge of the history and detail associated with these buildings.
On my first visit we toured 4 temples of the Angor complex/area along with the surrounding grounds, forests and lakes, and on my most recent visit 2 weeks ago went farther afield to Kok Kher and Beng Melea. Once again combining wonderful birding and nature with amazing history culture and buildings.
Each tour was a total of almost 12 hours including a very good picnic breakfast plus a lunch stop at a local restaurant also included in the price. (In fact the meal at one of the market type restaurants at kok kher on this recent visit was one of my best meals in Cambodia!)
Hopefully I will be back again within the next few years and will definitely do another trip with this company - they under promise and over deliver....perfect!

“The best bird watching guides in the country”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

Obviously catering more to the dedicated bird watcher. the excellent SVC guides can make sure that you see such sought-after species as Giant and White-shouldered Ibis, Vultures in the north, Adjutants and lots more. Highly recommended (if not exactly cheap).

“Bird tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2012

We had a lovely day on the tour with a great guide and wonderful companions. We had fun, saw interesting things and knew that the fee we paid was going to be spent wisely on some really useful projects. Highly recommended.

“Biggest disappointment in SE Asia in 1 1/2 years!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

Huge waste of time and money! We spent 5 hours by van and two boats to arrive at the "viewing platform" which was more like a primitive "tree fort". We spent 20 minutes looking at birds through a spotting scope that were so far away they were hard to identify! We then returned by boat to the village for lunch. The boat did not stop to view birds on the way in or out and what was promised to be an amazing day of birding with many rare birds turned out to be a disaster. Management was extremely unwilling to even hear our complaints and could care less that we were very unhappy. Never again.

“Excellent day trip to Prek Toal reserve”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2010

Three of us took the trip through Sam Veasna Certer in mid March. Low water levels meant a longer journey to get to the reserve but plenty of bird and local interest on the lake and on the river while we travelled. Three types of boat transport, all basic but adequate. When in the reserve saw masses of bird life, total of 40 species. Good breakfast and cooked lunch included and all the water we could drink. Price includes a contribution to conservation. Very knowledgeable English speaking SVC guide.
