“Birthday celebration at Green Park Village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We were on a family vacation in Siem Reap and Phnom Phen between June 23- June 30, 2013. This is my second time to stay at Green Park. My children described Green Park, as a home a in Siem Reap. Rightly so, because the staff were attentive to your needs. We have requested one of the staff to buy for us fruits in the market, a handful of crickets and other insects, which he did gladly even when it was raining at that time. He demonstrated how those insects are to be eaten. The manager was very helpful in advising us regarding our itinerary, arranging for our first night dinner at Koulen for buffet and apsara dancing, buying our bus ticket to Phnom Phen, and buying a birthday cake for my daughter. On our return from Phnom Phen, as we alighted from the tuk-tuk, we heard one of the staff said " There the gurl". At the reception area, another staff presented the cake to my daughter. We sang the birthday song and the staff joined us and sung the same in their language. A guest at the computer area joined the singing. The cake decor includes the words in script "happy birthday" which could be difficult to do considering the difference in language script. For the birthday dinner we have a Pleung Pleng prepare for us. So filling and delicious.
The four of us were accommodated in a family room for $18 a night, spacious and clean bathroom, free breakfast, free bottled water, strong wifi. tuktuk for airport pick-up and sending off. We pre-ordered our breakfast so that it will be ready when we come down at 6:30 Am. Except for the first night, we ordered our dinner at the restaurant. They served delicious fares at reasonable cost.
I highly recommend Green Park Village!

Great hotel, $ 12 per night, including breakfast included. Room worth the money. Very good food in the restaurant, the portions large and delicious. Clean, quiet, peaceful and very nice interior, terrace, garden restaurant outside the hotel, very nice room service and very helpful staff at the reception. Large room, TV, fridge, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a safe and a fridge in the room, excellent! I recommend to all! Very good location. In the next visit to Siem Reap, I'm sure I will choose again the Green Park Village.
Regards nice and very attentive service at the hotel.
Sincerely,
Mr. Norbert Nowaczyk-Deyna Krystian of Polish

All staff are generally friendly and accommodating! They would even take you at no cost to any place you'd like to go (e.g. shopping, business meetings, sigh-seeing, etc) and of course, from and to the airport. The place is near the city center. Rooms are clean and spacious. I would certainly stay at GP Village in my future trips back to Siem Reap.

GPV Guesthouse offers really good value for money - the rooms are spacious with good bathrooms, a fridge, free bottled water and free breakfast included in the price (we paid $10 for a fan double). They also have bicycles that can be used free of charge and we decided to explore the Temples by bike which was really enjoyable.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and really endeavor to deliver the best service they can.
The only drawback is that GPV Guesthouse is about 2km out of town. They do however offer free transport into Siem Reap to make up for that fact.

Fantastic staff and a decent room. Free breakfast too and tuk-tuks in to the city centre (it really isn't as far away as some people make out). The offer of free bikes and internet just make it even better. I wish all guesthouses were like this one.

Room Tip: The rooms at the far end have two windows (one on each wall) which is great.
