We had had a long day at the temples, and having arrived back the hotel, I didn't really want to venture out any more, so I suggested we just go to the restaurant in the hotel. A possibly risky manoeuvre.
Having already partially filled up on happy hour cocktails and canapes at the bar, we ended up just going with mains - two rare steaks, and some sides of pomme frites and a green salad (which was probably too much, but we were on holidays). We also received a selection of breads and butters/oil to accompany the meals. The garlic butter was a bit over the top, but the breads were very nice. The steaks were superb, one of the nicest I've had in a while.
The value of the meal probably isn't there - there are some other restaurants in Siem Reap which do offer far better value for money, however I can't fault the meal we had and we were very happy to have gone there.
