“Pricey - alright food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2011

Was $10 for french onion soup, $25 for the rib eye special and by the time i left after sharing 2 bottles of wine between 5 it was up to $90/head. Ridiculous prices for Cambodia, and the food was really only about average. if you want something quiet/romantic or if you had kids and deep pockets perhaps consider it but wouldn't head there for a fun night out.

“Don't bother!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2011

The restaurant write-up instilled high expectations of French cuisine, but -alas - reality was different.. My prawns tasted 'fishy' and were overcooked and tough, my friend's steak was average. Although service was very good and friendly, this is not enough to justify the higher than average price level.

“Fell short by a lot”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2011

we had been eating a lot of good local food but saved this restaurant as our splurge. Only three tables were occupied and yet the service was slow and confused. Several items required some sort of substitution (not really a problem but unusual). The sautéed fois gras and French onion soup were good (although the mountain of puff pastry on the soup was a bit much). The real crimes were the mains. The chef's special red snapper was anything but special. Very lackluster. By far the worst part of the meal was my husbands medium rare seared tuna. It was grey throughout and so dry he could not eat it. The waiter suggested it was because the tuna was a thin piece. I suggest that a chef ought to be able to compensate and cook a piece of fish properly. Huge disappointment.

“Good comfort food in the French style”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2011

Le Bistrot is worth the price; the snails in garlic butter were among the best we have ever had...a huge. The filets were properly done with garnishes of vegs and potatoes. This is a romantic place...not really for children and the service is attentive without being obtrusive.

“Delicious food but long time wating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2011

I'm pleased with the food of the restaurant, but unsatisfied at the time for waiting. It was longer than I had expected, and I very much disliked this. The hotel has very nice staff. I would recommend it to my friends, but not sure about returning or not.
