“Subtle flavours”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2011

Tried this on the back of the Lonely Planet recommendation. Despite LP stating that Cambodians come here for the amok, none (other than staff) were present on the noght we dined.

The dining room is large, airy and bright. The food was subtly flavoured, and the amok, samlor ktis and eggplant with pork were beautifully presented, and tasty. The staff were attentive, without being intrusive. The food is reasonably, rather than cheaply, priced.

The mojitos were quite strong, and there's free wifi.

The outdoor dining areas provide good vantage points to watch the nightlife of Siem Reap pass by, without drowning out conversation.

“Great food..try the sampler”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2011

The sampler gives you the opportunity to taste several khmer specialties and decide which are your favorite. I really enjoyed the food here and thought it wqs very reasonably priced.

“OK but check your change...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2011

I try to avoid these places that scream outside ‘Recommended by Lonely Planet etc.' as it always seems like a cry of desperation. Well we ended up here anyway and the food and value for money are OK. However just as we arrived a German couple who were leaving were obviously having a bit of altercation about being short changed. We later mentioned this with a Dutch couple who took the table to our right and lo and behold when we paid our bill they also tried to short change us by two dollars. Later we bumped into the Dutch couple in the night market and guess what? - They’d been short changed as well. This could of course all be a coincidence, or the restaurant could have a bad cashier. However the wrong change was always in the negative for us foreign customers - and that leaves a really bad taste in the mouth.

“Great”

Well, fair price, wonderful khmer food. Nothing to complain, esp as an east asians rice was eatable without any smell .

“Great food, great ambience.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2011

We tried other restaurants in the city, but eventually felt that this was the best. Refreshingly and tasty, the food always well presented by a very hands-on chef. Seating by the curbside and watching the world go by while sipping on tall cool drinks was for me the best way to spend the evening.
A must try here is the Khmer platter, with the varied flavours of local cuisine coming through very subtley.......
