To be honest, when our tuck tuck pulled up to the hotel in which Sabai Sabai resides, the staff seemed a little confused that we rode 5 minutes off the main tourist area just to try their food. The lights to the restaurant were off, and we were the only ones there. Nevertheless, we were well received and happily seated in a relatively modest dining room.
As dining experiences go Sabai Sabai doesn't offer anything too thrilling, but their Amok is the best we could find in Siem Reap. If you already enjoyed the curried coconut dish at one of those touristy road side restaurants during your temple touring, you need to have it again at Sabai Sabai. During our trip we had Amok five times at various dining locations. Although we cannot claim to be connoisseurs, we did do a fair amount of field research.
I knocked a point off due to it's location and having a slightly difficult time getting a ride back to our hotel afterwards. The prices were very reasonable even by Siem Reap standards. If you are are looking for good and affordable food, this is your place. High end dining experiences should be sought elsewhere.
