“Impressed from pick up!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

What to expect from a country we knew very little about? Our greatest expectations were surpassed when we arrived with two children 8 months and 9. From the moment we met our driver Sokane we just knew we were up for the most amazing five days.

Our eyes were wide as we cruised down the road and then after a little chat to Sokane we just gazed out at beautiful Cambodia.

To be honest as soon as we hit the door road, we were thinking wow... wonder where we will end up! But then you see Sojourn, friendly and efficient check in.

AMAZING food!!

We got the package so Sokane was our driver for the entire time. The temple guide was so full of passion and fantastic, to be honest we felt bad as we had the kids and our little man was not so keen on listening to the history but we loved it.

We also used the babysitter twice and was so lovely. ;)

The room was great! Cold air con, clean and beds were comfy.

A wonderful stay and we are just now researching to head back in April.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, sorry for the late review!

Btw, we told Soukane one night to take the night off as we wanted a tuk tuk and he said no I take care of you! We walked out later that evening to find Soukane with HIS tuk tuk!!

Amazing man and made us smile, feel well looked after and a pleasure to discover Cambodia with. Everyone we dealt with through the resort was also amazing and very professional. ;)

Room Tip: Go for the one with the big bath and outdoor shower ;)

“Place to stay if you want peace and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Lovely little boutique hotel, only a dozen rooms, so guests are limited, need to,book early in order to get a villa. Scattered around the pool, they are all more or less the same. Very roomy and comfortable. Don't be put off on the drive out, it is in a small village and the owners of the resort are doing a lot of work to help educate the local people. The staff are asked to teach English in the local area as part of their employment. All the a staff there were extremely friendly and pleasant. The food was also very cheap and good quality, The only complaint was the serves were too big. The dessert menu looked really nice, but was always too full to try it!.

Room Tip: Any villa is ok.

“Oasis in the middle of nowhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

You know you must be on an adventure when your cab is traversing potholes to swallow cows. Then you turn down a tiny street and pass through the gates to exhale. Sojourn will revive you. Its staff are beyond accommodating and sweet. The rooms are generous and will spoil you. The food will leave you with no desire to even visit another dining establishment. Truth be told I almost wish our trip were reversed so we could have ended here instead of beginning our journey here.
We chose to tour Siem Reap for its obvious history before embarking on a cruise up the coast of Vietnam. I will certainly return. Never mind the insanely low cost for any spa treatment (the few we tried were worth so very much more - everything in perspective). The heated floor in the bath was surprising though welcome after a body scrub and wrap done in our villa.
The pool has its own bar to swim up to and enjoy a cocktail while watching the geckos play. And you are maybe 20 minutes from Angkor Wat and all that Siem Reap has to offer.
Just go. You will be rewarded.

“very beautiful place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Villas are located in quiet location just outside siem reap town. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Most of them knew me by their first name. They organised trips for me to Angkor Wat , Tonle Sap Lake etc. Ride to city centre and return is only $3 so it is not an issue at now. Siem Reap is beautifui place to live and this place of the hidden gems.

Room Tip: As I was solo traveller, I stayed in Terrace room. I think Villa rooms will very nice for Couples

“Great Hotel and Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012 via mobile

We stayed at the hotel late Nov to 1 Dec. it was great. The rooms are very nice, we had one of the villas, the food is some of the best we have ever experienced. The staff are happy and friendly and could not do enough for us. The hotel is just out of town and is accessed by a road that has a short dirt section. Only $3 for tuktuk or $5 for cab to town and it is worth paying and staying in the boutique hotel with not many room nod lots of leisure. Nice pool and drinks are reasonably priced.

Had out own ironing board which is great for Asia. The beds were a bit firm but that is the only thing we could say could be improved. Would stay again anytime. For any one who spends their working lives being "farmed" in cube hotels this is the place to be.

Siem Reap is a great place and there is cheap restaurants with great food.
