“Charming, beautiful, and friendly!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

The very first impression we had when arriving at Angkor Spirit was "Oh, WOW!" This building is stunningly beautiful. Set just outside the noisy city (but convenient, especially with complimentary tuk tuk transportation)- this hotel is peaceful and calming.

Our second impression was how wonderful and friendly ALL of the staff was. From the front desk who helped us with our bags (and met us with umbrellas when it started to rain), to the restaurant staff...everyone was very kind and considerate.

The rooms themselves are large and comfortable- kept spotless by daily housekeeping. Instead of being awoke by loud backpackers/partying in the middle of the night (like other guest houses in town), we slept incredibly well, surrounded by peace & quiet and cooled by the A/C. Highly recommended for couples!

We stayed 3 nights and would have loved to stay even longer if we could have managed.

Thank you so much, Angkor Spirit Palace!!

Angkor Spirit Palace Hotel is a really nice set of buildings out of town, so its relaxing and peaceful.I liked the feeling that you were sharing rural Cambodia with the locals, looking out on farm land and house scattered way into the distance. The pool and service is good value for money and the upstairs patio resturant offers reasonably good food, both local and western. The only negative is that our room had no outlook, the 1 small windows shutters were locked down, I suppose to keep the heat out. Aimiable tick tuck drivers were always on hand to take you places, or pick you up at alloted times, being out of town was actually an excuse to enjoy this unique cute form of transport. I'd stay there again, it's a cool, no fuss, place.

Room Tip: Our room had no windows, there are ones overlooking the pool, so ask.

A lovely place to stay. 100% professional staff, nothing too much trouble. Large clean comfy bed and daily housekeeping to spotless rooms. Complimentary tuc tucs to and from town a five minute drive away, all this with a swimming pool. They arrange temple visits with their own friendly tuc tuc drivers at very reasonable rates. Thank you Cameron and your team for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: We had a poolview room. It had no negatives.

Staying at Angkor Spirit Palace was a very memorable time for me. From the warm welcome on arrival, to the service this was always exceptional from everybody who worked there no matter what role they had, nothing was ever to much trouble, there was always a smile for you no matter what ( the poolside service was fantastic, best food ) Pool & garden were an amazing oasis to come back to,......... Having stayed there when I first arrived Jan 2011 then ending my trip there Feb 2011, we always felt very welcome.......................

Room Tip: Ground Floor Close to pool

An great place to stay with rooms overlooking a lovely garden and pool. Mr. Chea and Mr. Kim offer exceptional hospitality at very reasonable rates. They are happy to arrange transport to the temples and other sites from the helpful travel desk, as well as meeting you at the bus station if you call ahead. The free tuk-tuk to and from the downtown is a handy service, just arrange for your pick-up when you get dropped off or phone the hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious with smart showers, and the upstairs restaurant provides great food with top-notch friendly service with breakfast included. Being away from the center of town makes for a quiet, relaxing stay. After wandering around temples for days, this place provided a nice break to relax and hang out by the pool and garden for a day. The Khmer architecture gives a traditional, Buddhist atmosphere to the place. Good computers and Wi-fi. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Try and get a main floor room overlooking the garden.

I was picked up at the bus station by a driver holding up my name on a card never before for me so I didn't know what to expect. Safe to say I was very pleased ...My room had all the usual fridge A/C hot shower TV it was clean and pleasant ..but what was better was the garden and pool and pool room and the upstairs restaurant ....all good
The staff were really friendly everyone even the girls sweeping the floors ...got no complaint about any of except it was a bit of distance to town. better keep a card with you in case the tuktuk drivers dont understand where you are staying. Oh yes free use of computer.......
Stayed four days and I would stay again! Thank you

Exceptionally friendly staff like Cheeah made us feel very at home in this lovely hotel.

Very interesting design to the place - the pool is handy to cool down after a day at the temples. We found it to be a great place to stay. It was exceptionally good value for money - even by Cambodian standards ($20 p/night).
