“Tourist Stop that is expensive for Siem Reap with passable food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2009

The setting is the best thing about this restaurant... well appointed in a nice garden. While I was there three tourist groups pulled up and shattered the tranquility of the place. The service was very good but the food was, well, nothing special. My friend who has lived in Siem Reap for five years was nonplussed over the fish Amok (the signature dish of Cambodia). With 2 beers and an appetizer $34 for two. It was not a place that I would recommend as in "ya gotta go".

“Divine Khmer food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2009

The ambience was wonderful and so was the food. We ordered all Khmer and it came beautifully presented and tasted even better. We definitely thought this was the best of all the food we tasted in Siem Reap and would definitely go back again. The garden was quiet and restful and the traditional music played live in the background made the meal more to that you'd find in an expensive hotel.

“One of 2 Best Meals on our Month-Long Trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2009

we ate a bit early... but still felt a bit worried as we were the first to be seated in the large patio area. you all know the feeling... sitting in an empty restaurant wondering whether the good word you've heard is totally off or if you're about waste a precious meal in a far-off land.... but this proved to be one of the most delicious meals of the trip.

first quality ingredients. artistic presentation. amazing service. gorgeous setting. everything about it was first class. by cambodian standards, it was a bit pricey (maybe $30 US for the two of us with drinks) but if you're looking for a quiet, romantic setting with outstanding service and great local food choices -- this is the place. a memorable evening for us. we absolutely would recommend the bopha!

“Traditional setting could be touristy but pretty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2009

Food was delicious albeit a tiny bit expensive for Siem Reap. Well worth it though. The setting was traditional and in a garden. Highly recommended for large groups.

“Great food, peaceful setting, gracious staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2009

An easy walk and just across the river from the downtown market. A quiet and peaceful setting where you can have a table in the dining area or out in the garden. Prices are very reasonable (low) and the food is sublime. I had fish in curry, wrapped in banana leaf and steamed with a side of rice. Wonderful, a great meal. I will be back!
