“Fine dining in Siem Reap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2011

You can do Pub Street....everyone does. We chose this place because Siem Reap is about to be flooded again and most of the roads are closed. This place was next door to our hotel and we could walk without getting wet.

You can look for fine dining in Siem Reap and you will find it here.

$50USD for dinner including wine.....$24USD worth of wine actually.

It might be a tad expensive for some but the class really shows here and it a full silver service with all the trimmings.

We had beef skewers, the Khmer chicken curry and the fish steamed with lime....they call it lemon.

Absolutely sublime....and perfectly cooked. The beef skewers fell off the sticks. The fish was just great. We ate till we couldn't eat any more. More than enough for 2 people in only 3 dishes.

The service is top notch and well above anything we have encountered previously. We barely looked up and someone came instantly to see what we wanted. It was a real treat.

The house Chardonnay is actually really nice and its the first wine night we have had in our trip but well worth it.

Can't fault the place at all and I'm happy to have spent the money for this experience. We had a quick tour of the hotel as well.....it looks really good and it might be on our list next trip.

I know the restaurant will be for sure.

Try it for a splurge....You won't regret it.

“Best meal we had on our entire trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2011

This was the best meal we had on our month-long stay in Cambodia. I had the beef with angel hair noodles-beef was perfectly cooked, not too spicy and not too bland, and the noodles were delicious. Perhaps a bit overpriced, but for a good meal in Cambodia, it was worth the 3 extra dollars per meal.

“Excellent garden setting with upmarket dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2011

Our tour guide recommended this restaurant along with the Khmer Kitchen and the cafe Indo - China. We did not try the other two but we were impressed with this restaurant. We wanted to dine near the river and the Bopha fitted the bill. The restaurant is in a beautiful garden setting. Tables and chairs with pristine tablecloths and napkins are well set out. A bit pricier than some other Siem Reap options at about $30 for two including a couple of bottles of the enjoyable Ankgor beer each but well worth paying the extra for the luxurious surroundings and a feeling for the assurance of hygiene standards.

The Khmer based menu was fine and all of us enjoyed our meal and particularly the setting. Recommended!

“Treat yourself to a diner there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2011

We - backpackers - decided to treat ourselves to a nice diner and really had a good time and delicious food!
The marinated fish salad is one of the best dish we had in Cambodia if not the best and we had a curry of some kind (soory don't remember the name) that was just hot enough for the other flavours to be tasted... a delight! We finished off with a coconut ice cream scoop - Loooovely!

“Delicious but a bit more expensive than other places in Siem Reap”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2011

So obviously the prices are higher than most places in town, especially the drinks. So getting that out of the way, here's the good stuff:

If you're staying at the hotel, there are four breakfast choices: Western, Khmer, Chinese and "Healthy". The portions are not large, but the right size for a good diet. The "compulsory" 7 course meal was absolutely delicious! But if you're a veggie, I would tell them when you check in and negotiate a fair alternative menu.

If you aren't staying at the hotel, then I totally only recommend coming here in the evening. The atmosphere is dead at lunchtime.

DO come here for the Pina Coladas (best I ever had!) DON'T come here for heavy drinking (Market area has far cheaper deals/happy hours, etc.)
