“Delicious food in a romantic setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

I am definitely no French-cuisine-master, but I can say the food was very, very good. I had a special, chicken breast with morrell mushrooms and leeks in a cream sauce ($15) with mixed vegetables, and my husband had a salmon platter (don't remember price). We also had a carrot soup starter and creme brulee ($5) for dessert. Although the food is more expensive than most, the servings were quite large.

Our service was pretty good. The food came out on time and hot. We had to wait a bit to get the bill, but the restaurant was full while we were there (always a good sign). The staff were also able to explain different items in the menu clearly, which is sometimes difficult in Siem Reap. I absolutely loved the setting - orchids hanging everywhere, orange and yellow dim lights - quite a romantic setting.

This restaurant is a great option for a romantic date night out!

A nice quite place for lunch or a drink. Beautiful decor and garden make a relaxed setting to watch the world go by.

“food just ok. service not the best and very rude french owner!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

The food is ok, though nothing special, and quite overpriced for what you get. service very slow even with a restaurant fairly empty. We were a few of us wanting to pay our own bill, mess started with the waitress miscalculation, than the typically arrogant french owner refusing to separate the bill. Considering the guy spend his time sitting on his bar doing not much, This is a very fine example of poor customer service from the part of the owner. Overall, can get much better food at much better price in Siem Reap, served by people who actually appreciate patrons for bringing business

“Authentic French cuisine in a romantic setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

We were looking for a semi quiet place away from the garish and loud attractions of Pub street and we found Le Malraux. A gem hidden at the side of pub street. Quiet setting, serving superb French food in a nice cozy setting.

“Slooow service, cooking uneven”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

I went one evening during my stay in Siem Reap. At about 5:30 PM i was the only customer. In spite of this the service was inattentive and slow. I selected both an appetizer and a main course from the specials/

The appetizer (a home made terrine) was delicious and well made. Sadly the main course ( a magret of duck breast) was overcooked and dry in spite of having been ordered medium rare. Given that I was the only customer at that time, the kitchen could not have been overworked.

Being disappointed in the main course I skipped the dessert. Overall fairly poor service with neither bad or good food. I have been at better french restaurants
