“Excellent choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2011

A very nice, quiet and family-run guesthouse. Before you come to the lobby you have to put off your shoes. That reflects the caracter of the house. It is very clean and well-maintained with a very delightful family-run caracter. The lobby is very tasteful furnished and decorated with antiques where in the middle Ms Soma, the owner, works at her computer and is always open for a talk with her guests. This makes the place what it is.
The rooms are very quiet and clean. The breakfast was very good, especially the passionfruit juice.
The stuff is well trained by the owner herself, very helpful and friendly.
We also highly recommend our tuk tuk driver, Mr Socheat. He is a very good, friendly and reliable driver, who speaks English very well and organises the day tours to Angkor in a perfect way.
A place to feel good an to come again.

We stayed here, like everyone else, when visiting Angkor Wat. The hotel is on a side road away from the hustle of the main street, so you get the feeling you can escape at the end of the day.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the hotel was sparklingly clean.

The rooms are slightly smaller than the impressive lobby area would suggest and the pool is better suited to a plunge rather than sun bathing or swimming but is a nice extra.

I would stay again.

Everything I read about the guest house was true. It was worth every cent I paid for my room and more. The lobby was beautiful, the staff helpful and the other guests very friendly. The breakfast area was a wonderful meeting place. Wifi in lobby and breakfast area worked perfectly. It is perfect for both solos and families. A lot of people involved in NGO´s stay there.
I have never seen such a clean hotel. I came down to the lobby one day and one of the cleaning ladies was on her knees with a little brush( the size of a tooth brush) cleaning the carved woodwork of the reception counter. I was really impressed.
The pool was small but clean and adequate. My room was not the best in the house since it was a standard room on the ground floor and the window faced a wall. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I booked a single room but one was not available when I got there so they gave me a double room for the same price, $22 including tax. It is not the cheapest guest house in Siem Reap but they can´t come any better. I am tempted to return just to stay there again.

We stayed 5 nights last December at the Encore Angkor and can recommend it highly. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly, courteous, and very helpful, the huge breakfast is amazing, and the swimming pool is a great place to cool off after a long day of touring the sites. We appreciated being close enough to easily walk to the heart of the city's action, while having a quiet place to stay. If you have a chance, spend some time talking with the owners--their stories are fascinating. We'd definitely stay here again if we returned to Siem Reap.

The guesthouse is phantastic value for money. The lobby is very tasteful with lots of character, the rooms are big and very clean. There is a small swimmingpool which is great after a day of temple-visiting. The staff is extremly friendly and very helpful, they organised the tour guide and tuk-tuk driver which were very reliable and by far not over priced.

My wife and I just spent the last 3 nights at Encore Angkor. This was a magnificent choice. They are very close to the heart of Siem Reap (easy 2min walk), the place was exceptionally clean and our hosts could not have been more helpful.

They organized a tuk tuk driver to pick us up from the airport (Chong Nom-who we used for the rest of our stay as he was great), they organized guides for our temple visits and booked our bus to Phnom Penh.

All in all it was fantastic and I would recommend to anyone!
