“Taken care of by the staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Every day greeted with smiling and extraordinarily helpful staff, we were well taken care of during our recent four night stay. Good location and the philosophy behind the support of Cambodians made it a good choice for me and my family. Our tuk tuk driver became an additional, reliable extension of the establishment. Keep up the good work.

Room Tip: Room 305 was a spacious, sunny choice.

good location, veryclean, lift works which can often not be the case in cambodia .
It is a true boutique hotel with a lot of the staff having a financial interest in the hotel which creates a tue team work and spirit which is evident.
Very friendly accomodating staff local and scandanavian .

great restaurant friendly accomodating staff local and scandanavian .

Small intimate rooftop bar with affordable cocktails and pretty view..

Stayed at the Soria Moria as part of Gecko tour. Was a lovely hotel with very helpful staff. THe rooms are lovely and clean. THe rooftop bar and spa are fab. Enjoyed the lovely pool. The hotel is a short stroll from Night Market and Pub Street. THe breakfast was very nice. The price is very reasonable for rooms as we stayed an extra night. Will return. happy to recommend

I stayed at this hotel while doing a gecko tour of Cambodia. The hotel is really great and the staff were very helpful. My toilet broke on the first night and was fixed immediately. Other than that I had no other issues during the stay. Your rooms comes with some drink tickets you can use on the great rooftop terrace. Very beautiful but a little small. The only downside of this hotel was that it is a little far from the main drag, about a 15-20 minute walk or 5 minute tuk tuk ride. A little unnerving heading back to the hotel at night alone. Overall I thought this was a great hotel and would stay here again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies, ask the front desk if they will give you one.

We stayed at Soria Moria and thought it was a great hotel. The rooms (and bathroom) are a great size, very comfortable and elegant and the rooftop bar has great food and drinks at good prices. The staff in both the hotel and the restaurant were excellent and very attentive. The breakfast buffet was great. I think the on-site hospitality training program the hotel runs for Cambodian locals is a fabulous, and to be admired, initiative. The location of the hotel is an easy walking distance to ATM, Market, Pub Street and an easy Tuk Tuk ride to other locations. The hotel has an all-round good feel about it and we would happily stay at Soria Moria again and happily recommend it.

Soria Maria doesn't have the best deco or the best location, but the hotel truly stands out for its quality and service. We didn't have any reservation before arriving at Siem Reap, so we went around and checked out about 5 hotels before stopping at Soria Maria. The wonderful staff named Sokha showed us around the hotel, providing us recommendation and explaining the business idea (instead of pushing us to book the room). The price was the highest among all the hotels we were shown ($50/night), but we decided to stay, and it turned out to be our brightest decision.

We arrived at the hotel at 8am in the morning, but Sokha let us check in early and offered us complimentary breakfast (while other hotels would ask us to wait until 12). And during the last day, our bus was at 7pm, but she was also kind enough to arrange a room for us to take shower before departing (although we didn't ask for it, or use it)

We can say that Soria does have one of the best staff teams in town. They were extra helpful and went out of their way to assist us, from booking our return ticket to HCMC to reminding us about the attire to Angkor Wat. It's the littlest things about the service here that truly impressed us and made us want to come back.

Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!
