“not the usual Marriott timeshare quality”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2011

We were very disappointed in the villas. Sub par construction and design. Not the usual finishes and decor we have seen in other Marriott timeshares including Ocean Pointe where we are owners. Had horrible problem trying to regulate the A/C. One bedroom was freezing, the other too warm. Maintenance came up and adjusted a vent but it did not help. The furniture in the livingroom was terribly uncomfortable.
The larger pool area was a zoo. Children running around unsupervised. Diving (yikes-is Marriott looking for a lawsuit??) in 5' water, no lifeguard, no management in sight. Yet in the adult area where the water was no more than 3'6" deep, they had a lifeguard. Not sure you could call it a pool, more like a mini lazy river. Both areas lacked adequate shade areas, limited umbrellas. Water was cloudy.
The Marketplace was poorly stocked. They had a Starbuck's coffee/sandwich bar in the spa area but it didn't open until 11AM. It was also understaffed. We waited 30 minutes for 4 sandwiches. The snack bar in the larger pool area did not open until noon.
The immediate area has limited dining options. We did go to Atlantic City which is close and you can find some very good restaurants but be prepared to pay. Shopping, both outlets and high end in AC.
The beach at Brigantine Island is clean but horseflies are a problem so bring your bug spray. Also took a trip to Cape May about 45 minutes away. Lovely town, beautiful beach.
On a positive note, the front desk staff was efficient and personable. The concierge was not available when we needed info but the front desk helped us.
We think management needs to add more staff which might eliminate some issues above. Also, the A/C issue is a big problem that should be addressed.

Very nice, spacious rooms. Reasonable distance from Atlantic City, except for the tolls. Not able to take advantage of all the amenities due to the weather. Not much we were interested in the town itself. Uses up very little vacation club points for the value of the property, if you are on the timeshare point system. Main draw is Atlantic City and not the best vacation for young kids, except if they are happy with hanging out at the resort...which mine were.

We stayed here at one of the 2 bedroom villas for 2 nights with our family. The villas are beautiful with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bath's. It really gives you the feel that you're at home which is so comforting. There are a couple wonderful golf courses near by and an awesome golf practice area with a driving range right on the property. There are 2 outdoor pool options. The main pool is a bit of a nightmare, there is no lifeguard on duty and kids are able to run free (literally), jump where they please, throw things across the pool, etc. It's a bit like a circus. Luckily there is an adult pool that is a totally relaxing quiet scene and it has a lifeguard which is strange. There is a gorgeous Red Door Spa which I didn't have a chance to try but have heard great things. There is a little place to grab a quick bite for lunch by the pool and a cocktail. I would definitely recommend this place for families. You're only about 10 minutes from Atlantic City which is also great!

just came back from this place for week vacation, hotelself was newer than i thought base on review, little different layout than other marriott villa - still two room and very roomy
this one have two master bed room - both have bathroom and one of them have sofabed
pool was busy for entire week and water was cloud(out door pool) indoor pool was small but cleaner than outside since it was less busy
i thought this location is not very kids friendly - golf course and nothing around, we need to drove everywhere for attration (capemay, ocean city... since we did not like atlantic city with kids) i don't think we will go back just because location
also i found few hair on carpet and bathroom floor right after we check in which was really rare for marriottt villa ( i also found live bug in the elizabeth arden spa cold pool that one inside of spa - i do not know marriott clean this part...)
do have good kids activity inside of property - our kids loved magic show
wall was thin enough to hear upstir walking sounds and flushing toilet and baby crying... i even complian (we never do this since we have kids too) but nothing change!!
i do not recomend this place for people, at least for us this was one of bottom property in marrtiott vacation club!!

We recently stayed at Fairway Villas for a one week family vacation. We had two units, so had plenty of room for my husband and I, our daughters and their husbands and my three grandchildren. We have stayed at Fairway Villas many times before and in the summer it is a great place for families with children to enjoy a relaxing week. We went to the Please Touch Me Museum in Philadelphia, Storyland Amusement Park and visited Lucy the Elephant. There are plenty of things to do in the area for all ages and some of the adults did sneak away to the casinos one day. There is also a pool facility that is for adults only if you want to get away from the kiddies for a little while, and an Elizabeth Arden spa when you are ready for some special treatment. Lots of activities were provided for both young and old and we are looking foward to our next time there!

Room Tip: We asked for a third floor room in a building close to the pool

Marriott does a great job with keeping this property both beautifully landscaped as well as having a staff that really tries to accommodate you. The concierge, Louise, is most helpful and very knowledgable with all that is in the area. Don't miss out on the yoga class taught by Naida...she is AWSOME...I never took yoga before and she converted me into a yogi fan!
The adult pool is relaxing and warm. don't need to "get used to the water". Just hop in and read your book in the water. No pool service..so if you are looking for that special drink you will have to make it in your room and bring it down...the nice thing is there are no s reaming kids and no splashing...there's the other pool for that.
If you decide to go to the beach Brigatine beach is a hidden gem...though you need to be able to walk to get there. Once you park your car you need to walk through the natural dunes about 1/4 mile before getting to the beach. It's well worth the walk. The beaches are empty and there is a magnificent backdrop of Atlantic City.
Restaurants are few...don't come here for a gourmet restaurant. Better off eating casual food.
If you are a golfer it's paradise. 2 wonderful courses...the pines and the bay.
Accomadations are spacious. Can easily accomadafe 6 people in a villa.
Atlantic city is about 20 minutes away. If you like to gamble it's there but in my opinion very seedy. Wouldn't go there.

We stayed here in 3 villas with a large extended family. We had booked the rooms well in advance and told them we wanted adjoining rooms. Despite this, the room was not available when we checked in (after 5pm) and so we had to wait an extra half hour to get into our room. The facility has a very limited Market Place with relatively little to purchase. The family pool was pretty good but the adult pool was very cloudy and looked dirty. There were also insufficient chairs and the age restrictions were not enforced (no one under 16 was allowed in). At other Marriott's, you are able to exchange pool towels every day fairly easily but that was not the case here. You were given towels in your villa that you had to use for the week. The villa was of average cleanliness; however, the bathrooms by the pool were not well cared for and were frequently dirty. Parking was plentiful and close by to the villas. Food shopping was also close by. There was a shuttle to the golf course which was handy and the service there was prompt and pleasant. Another drawback to the villa was there were no ceiling fans in the bedrooms and it was very difficult to moderate the temperature in the rooms. Some rooms were freezing while others were hot (in the same villa). This was experienced by the occupants in all three villas that our party occupied.
