“Beautiful setting for a unique hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

The hotel site is gorgeous, overlooking Lake Titicaca. Each room has its own décor. Ours offered twin beds, a sitting area with table and chairs and a bathroom that offered a glass wall so you could see the lake while lounging in the tub.

We walked to the Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana and the marketplace.

Lunch and dinner at the hotel were delicious. Wish I could remember what we had, but there were 8 of us and no one found a single dish to complain about. Unfortunately, a storm at night knocked out the electricity in the kitchen, so breakfast was not available.

The area was a little noisy with dogs barking all night and stepping on the floor often caused doors to rattle that could be heard by adjoining rooms.

My husband & I stayed at the Hotel Rosario Lago for 2 nights in 2012 (actually May) & wished it were for longer. As others have said the hotel is newly renovated (tastefully), is in a great position & our room (& bathroom) overlooked Lake Titicaca. The hotel staff spoke English & were helpful. Breakfast was basic but good & we had two delicious evening meals there. It was a short stroll down to the water to catch a boat to the Isla del Sol which was one of the highlights of our South American trip. We did the 14km walk across the island which was well worth doing & the scenery breathtaking.

We were one of four couples in a group visiting Lake Titicaca. The Hotel Rosario was delightful in all respects. We enjoyed roaming from room to room, photographing the decor which was delightfully Bolivian and unique to the theme of each room. Add to that the location, the view, the fine meals, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff and you'll understand why one night at the Rosario was not adequate.

Comfortable and spacious rooms that faces the garden. Our room has a balcony. Food in the restaurant was good, though if you wanted to eat at the main/tourist street, it's a short walk away. The hotel is also close to the 'beach'.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful, it should have more stars. The room was amazing, very big with a comfortable seating area and great views from the bed and balcony of Lake Titicaca. The glass sided bathroom that enabled views from the bath was a stroke of genius. Don't worry there was a separate toilet. Staff could not have been more helpful and it was a short walk to the lake and the town centre. The hotel also had lovely grounds. A shame the Internet was not available in rooms and it did not have a fridge.

Room Tip: You should stay there.

Great hotel set overlooking the shores of Lake Titicaca, wonderful views and great sunsets. All the rooms appeared to overlook the lake. Plenty of sitting areas outside the hotel as well a nice foyer within it; tea was always available. Nice spacious well appointed room, separate toilet, nice bathroom that also looked over the lake, so able view the lake when showering or bathing. The room was a good size, and well appointed: small balcony, 2 double beds which were comfortable. It also had an I-Pod dock. Breakfast was generally good and the staff pleasant
