“Everything is great, but the shower”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

This is a pretty good hotel. Great staff. Perfect location, very good breakfast, very good beds. Great atmosphere. The only problem with this hotel is the shower. It uses sun energy and the water flow is very little. I had a hard time controlling the water temperature and the shower experience can be a little annoing, especially if it's winter.
All and all, it's a pretty good option.

Stayed here in November 2012 for two nights in a double room. The room was a great size, with a big comfortable bed and a nice view over Lake Titicaca. It also had a TV & DVD player with a huge range of DVDs to borrow at reception!

The only negative was that I did receive a minor electrical shock from the shower...it wasn't painful but I could feel the current in my hand when I touched the metal on the tap which wasn't good. I reported it to reception and they said it was fixed but I'm not sure how well it translated and I didn't risk the shower again..

Breakfast was pretty good, with bread, jam, eggs cooked to order, juice tea and coffee in a nice little breakfast area!

The grounds are also pretty nice, with hammocks to laze around in! It's also on a quiet street close to the main street, although I doubt that ever gets very loud either!

Although the guesthouse was nice, we did find it very very expensive ($45) relative to other places we've stayed. At the time there was very little available on booking.com etc and maybe something cheaper can be found if you walk around the town.

We've rated it "average" but it's probably "good" which isn't an option on Tripadvisor.

Great room. Good value.
Nice breakfast, and were happy to do fried eggs even though they offered scrambled.
Just tucked away from the main strip. Quiet location.
Free DVDs welcomed, provided some relaxation.
Comfortable hammocks in the garden to relax on.
Showers have a knack to them. I can't remember what the trick was now, but once you figure it out, water temperature is constant.
Friendly family owned establishment.
The rules and info they had posted up in the room was out of date. It said there was a small cafe, but when we went looking for a sandwich we were looked at as if we had two heads. Also, it had the wrong check out time. The next day upon check out we asked the owner and were told this service was no longer available. We advised them to update their rules and info.

Highly recommend staying here while in copacabana however I do have some advice. Don't book it ahead of time as I think you will get a better deal if you just show up. We paid $45 US but other hotels in the area were going for less than $30. Our guide book advertised this hotel as being around $30 as well. The rooms are pretty cold and the space heaters don't work very well. Bed and pillow were kind of uncomfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We just spent 2 nights in this cozy hotel in the center of Copacabana.
For the price we paid, I think it is a simple and good hotel.

The room was clean and simple, they had a huge variety of DVDs to rent out for free so that you can watch it on TV in your room, the staff were always very helpful and efficient, the shower water was strong and very hot, the free wi-fi unfortunately didn't work too well inside our room but it somewhat worked in the lounge area next to the reception.
For breakfast there serve: tea, coffee, fruits, pound cake, cookies, toast & scrambled eggs (upon request)...etc.

There is a garden with hammocks, table and chairs for you to relax outside on a sunny day. When we asked, they even supplied/delivered some cups of tea for free.
That was a nice little extra point!

The best part was that we could watch the beautiful fireworks directly from our room window for the new year's eve celebration!

We really enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights. It is not a fancy place, but it definitely serves as a good, simple and comfortable accommodation.

This hotel really is a lovely little place to stay. Set slightly up a hillside means it has great views over Lake Titicaca. The rooms are nice and clean. There are heaters available from reception which means the rooms can be made nice and warm too. DVDs available free of charge too. The hot water in the bathroom is solar heated so doesn't last for too long, but while it is available it's scorchingly hot! nice comfortable beds and friendly staff too all combined to make this an ideal place to stay.

Room Tip: All rooms here are a nice size and all nice and quiet too.

A 10 minute walk uphill from the bus station/plaza, the hostel has a great view of the lake and a nice grassy area with hammocks to view it from.
All the rooms seem to have only one common wall which makes them more like little cabins. Our room was quite large, clean and tidy. Each room has a tv and DVD and there is a good selection of free DVDs at reception.
Breakfast is good - eggs on toast, yoghurt, fruit, coffee.
Only a couple of negatives - bed sank in the middle a little; hot water showers are good but a little inconsistent so need to change the flow of cold water a few times during the shower.
Very good service - delivery of coca tea to our room when we were sick was much appreciated!
We were told that the gates are locked at 10pm and you can be buzzed in until 1am. Not sure what happens if you get back after 1am; maybe check this is you plan late nights.
