“Nice, but dated”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful with terraces, fountains, trees and a pool. However, the rooms are dated and in need of modernizing as is the restaurant and bar. The location is good-next to the palace and in the nicer part of town.

Hotel Arunjuez is definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in in South America.
And the staff ARE the best. The wonderful manager helped us to arrange a terrific overnight trip to Torotoro( fantastic place and I wish we'd had longer there). He did this at very late notice on Easter weekend, when all the tour agencies were closed., and when we returned we were greeted like old friends. Breakfast on the terrace is a treat. The swimming pool feels like it's in the jungle. I'd love to return to this hotel and spend more time.

Room Tip: Pours overlooked the garden and the pool. Lovely.

I have stayed at the Aranjuez Hotel several times and each time was a better experience than the year before. The rooms are charming in fact they remind me of staying in an old charming and elegant hotel in England or Germany. The breakfast is first class, you can eat from the buffet or you may request a breakfast of your choice (made to order fried eggs or any way you like them, bacon, toast etc); they were planing to upgrade to the latest flat screen televisions, and while i was there they were begining a new remodel of many of the rooms. You can't go wrong with this fine hotel and the owners and other personal are wonderful.

Great place, great staff, nice rooms. This was excellent and really nice to stay in so your search should end here. We loved it and what a brilliant city. Lively, interesting and fun. There are heaps of bars and restaurants near by with good food and good music around the corner. What's not to like?

It is hard to find hotels like hotel Aranjuez these days. Everybody working in hotel will make you feel home from a moment you arrive.
Room where it stayed had very nice layout. It was very clean, smelling nice. It was facing the hotel court so it was very quiet.
Hotel has two incredible trees which are totally interlinked with hotel. I felt like they protect the hotel.
Resuming: this was greate experience staying in this homey hotel.

This is one of the all-around nicest hotels I've stayed in, and at the age of 67, I've been around. My room and bathroom, recently renovated, were quiet, large, clean and comfortable. The staff and owner,Jose, couldn't do enough to make my 4-day stay perfect, including welcoming my 4-year-old grandson to stay with me and swim in the lovely pool. If you love trees, flowers, the sound of water and birds, this lovely serene hotel is the place for you.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the gardens or pool are quiet.

We recently stayed at the Aranjuez during a stop in Cochabamba. The hotel is charming, the staff was extremely accommodating, including when we requested a babysitter on short notice. Our daughter loved the gardens and pools as much as we did. If we ever find ourselves in Cochabamba again we will stay at the Aranjuez.
