My friend and I drove past this amazing looking place whilst driving around Area 5. It was a slight deviation to our 3 weeks vacation travelling Route 66. We are both from the UK and just fell in love with the place as soon as we saw it.
Dawn, the Operations Manager, could not have been more friendly and helpful. She gave us a tour of the building and also the "snug", which houses a full sized pool table, a bar and other great features, as well as a large fire pit and barbecue area outside.
As there was only ourselves and one other couple that were staying that particular night, Dawn invited us to have a look around the other rooms and generally make the place our home. Which we immediately did. I can honestly say that all of the rooms are all amazing. We stayed in the Rodeo room, which has two queen sized beds, but any of the other rooms would have been just as amazing.
Each room has a different design theme, but all rooms have large bathrooms with a large walk in shower, separate roll top bath and twin sinks. (The only exception to the roll top bath was our room, Rodeo, which is perfect for disability access as the shower has been adapted). The toilet is separated by a solid door which is perfect for sharing. All of the rooms have French doors that open out onto a gorgeous patio courtyard, with rocking chairs at either side.
The scenery from the porch area is breathtaking and we spent the evening rocking back and forth on our rocking chairs, on the porch, watching a fantastic thunder storm which seemed to circle us.
I can honestly say, that the photographs on their website do not do this place justice. Their photographs do not highlight the amazing design and decoration, the expensive antiques and nicknacks and the internal ceiling structure of the dining room and lounge area.
I read through some of the reviews before I began to write mine and I noticed a single star review by NSTJT which seems to be extremely negative. I agree with "Time2MakeUP", as it appears that they must have an ulterior motive for writing such a review. It is certainly not my experience of Cowboys Dream and it is certainly not the experience of my friend. In fact, my friend is even considering planning to have her wedding here, so that should go a long way to tell you how great this place actually is!
Please don't let the one negative review put you off, you will not be disappointed by Cowboys Dream. We intend to return...
All of the rooms are luxuriously designed, with large bathrooms and double french doors opening onto...
