5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

We had a wonderful time, the resort is great. There are lots of things to do. The room we stayed in was very nice. We will for sure go agian. The food was great. The staff were very pleasant. Loved the swimming pool, also the slide. We had a blast. There are wonderful sights all over the resort. There also animals the kids can feed, the had a great time.

Room Tip: I think any rooms would be great, there are awsome views from any rooms.

Fairmont Hot Springs is an family oasis with something for everyone in the family. Fairmont has an interesting history and sits between Missoula and Butte. The kids will love you for staying here if you're between Yellowstone. If staying for more than a few nights, visit the Butte area for a rich experience into the days of mining. Fairmont Hot Springs has new furniture and provides family areas for sitting and relaxing both indoors and out.
~Room-We stayed in a recently renovated room 2012. Clean, comfortable, refrigerator and microwave. Good security as there was a problem with a child getting lost and hotel security responded immediately. 11 am check-out is strict. Some rooms have BBQs and kitchenettes.
~Pool-The best and biggest pools I have been in for swimming. Pools are hot and very clean, both indoor and outdoor. Large changing area indoors. There is a slide for the kids, several large hot tubs, lifeguards and security at night. Outdoor walk-up bar serves family and adult beverages. New arbors provide shade. Clean decks, plenty of chairs, even on the busiest summer weekends.
~Restaurant is open all day. We had a buffet which was reasonably priced at $10. Great for teenage kids and the food was good. Nice daytime outdoor area expanded to a courtyard with shade and propane fire pits make for a relaxing place to play board games, or have a beverage.
~Bar had live music but not a hopping place due to the family nature of Fairmont.
~Recreation is expanding to accomodate families. Golf course is nice, Old Works in Anaconda is nicer so I'm told. Putt-putt, tennis, geocaching, frisbee golf, new playground updated for youngest children, farm animals, video game room. Run or walk out Shirley avenue to the water tower for exercise at high altitude, country solitude and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
~Outdoor- Newly covered venue for smaller events and meetings.
~Parking Free and plenty of it. It's Montana.

Hotel is average (think 80's holiday inn w new paint). Looks like hotel plannIng on making renovations- but not done yet. Enjoyed the hot springs, which are open 24/7 for hotel guests. Did not have time to do other activities (golf, etc). Had pleasant breakfast in dining rm - reasonable prices. Bring your own towels for pools. Towels supplied are hand towels -worn thin. Check out website for deals. For one nt stay on way to glacier ntl park from Bozeman - good stop, but would not go out of my way to stay there or stay longer than one nt.

I had the pleasure of staying in your wonderful place of hospitality known as Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. My son and I were referred to this place by our cousin Tammy Gates, and her good reference far exceeded our expectations.
We stayed the night of August second. The beautiful summer weather gave us the opportunity to explore both the indoor and outside pool. I was thrilled to see the giagantic slide that existed outside, however as one can imagine, my thrill was surmounted by my two year old's exhiliration. Of course we had to take the water adventure, and my son and I both agreed that out of all the water parks we have visited over the past two summers this pool and slide were our favorite!
After our water date, we were even more excited to see the petting zoo out behind our Hotel! From goats to ducks we had our share of mother nature right in our home away from home backyard. I must say this sure adds to the charm of the resort.
To finish the day off, we dined in your restaraunt and were greeted with a very welcoming warm smile, had efficient and personable service and the food was not only delicious but prepared with a crisp presentation.
I am a pilot for United and have stayed in countless hotels from Montana to Japan. I mention this in order to reinforce my high opinion of your establishment. From pool, to farm adventures our stay was one of great fun and relaxation. From every avenue of service and hospitality, your hotel is one of the finest caliber. We look forward to a return trip to Fairmont, which as you say is certainly "Funtastic!"

With much Appreciation,

Kim Krumm

Growing up in Montana, I've been going with my family to Fairmont for 34 years and it is very relaxing and out of the way. This year was just as relaxing as all the others. The golf course is adequate and fun to play for the average golfer. The have an indoor pool with a hot tub plus a large outdoor pool with a hot tub. Plenty of room to lay out and even has a waterslide for the kids. This is not an upscale resort like you would find in Las Vegas but for a very relaxing experience that's out of the way it is absolutely wonderful!!!

This is much more a family venue than it is for adult couples....the indoor pool has been much more well-maintained than in the past, and there are many many family activities on the property...but there is a disclaimer. The food here is VERY expensive, and not all that well prepared, and if you are a visitor in winter there simply aren't many amenities other than the pool. Fairmont hasn't gotten their head wrapped around having the bar open in case someone wants to have Bloody Mary with breakfast, and the service at the concession area of the indoor pool is HORRIBLE....they act like they are doing you a favor to wait on you at the window, But it is pleasant and I have been a guest here MANY times.....

We had a great time staying at Fairmont. The kids had a blast and loved the fact that the pool is open all night for them to night swim. My husband and friends also enjoyed the lounge where the service was great. My husband loved the golf course and we most definitely will be coming back.
