The train takes about 40 minutes to get to the top. You have 2 choices - the train stops about 30 minutes up the mountain and you can walk the last bit (they tell you it's about a one hour walk) or you can finish the trip to the top on the train (an additional 10 minute ride.) Since we were a group of 11 with different fitness levels, we chose to ride all the way to the top.
The views at the top are amazing! We happened to be there on a clear day and could see forever. There is a restaurant at the top, but we brought a picnic lunch with us and found a spot to sit, eat and take in the marvelous view.
This is a mountain and the terrain is what you would find on a mountain, so be sure to wear either hiking shoes or good sports shoes. We saw several people in flip-flops and one woman in heels - neither of which were very smart.
If you appreciate great views, you will love this. Don't forget your camera!
