This is a fairly new Holiday Inn Express that opened in September, 2012 at Albert Lea, Minnesota.
Interior Decor: Upgraded decor and furniture from the usual Holiday Inn Express chains I would have expected. Elegant and contemporary design, color and tone. Bed lamp was out of order but a hotel staff quickly offered a replacement bulb.
Exterior appearance: New Holiday Inn Express style - east side of Exit 11 off Interstate 35 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, just at the edge of the commercialized area. Small sized hotel.
Outside view from the room: Hotel front parking lot and Minnesota state highway 46. Rural and undistinguished.
Room size: Generously big. Plenty of room to stretch and be comfortable.
Price value: Very good.
Service: For Platinum member of Priority Blub, complimentary soft drink and snack (microwavable popcorn). Friendly staffs.
Bed: Firm. Nice light scent.
Room: A bit noisy heater. Otherwise, very quiet.
