“Really Impressed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Got this for a great deal on Hotwire. Here's my rundown:

Staff- Very helpful and friendly. Front desk gave an overview of services of hotel upon checkin. You can access hotel features through tv (they don't have a book in room- told me they are "green"- awesome!)

Room: HUGE, modern and clean. They have a living area with a large sectional couch (that pulls out), a desk, a mini kitchen area with sink and fridge (no microwave). The flatscreen is large and is stationed midway between living room and bed area and can swivel either way. The sink and vanity area is outside of bathroom and the bathroom has a very low edge for the tub- good for anyone who has issues getting in and out. A grab bar at front of tub is a good idea, no non-slip stripping in tub though. Beds were firmer than I like but it wasnt a bit issue. Two bed rooms have doubles. I was wondering how, if I had brought my family, we would have fit 4 of us. I guess the kids could sleep on the pull out but definitely can't get 4 people in the two beds unless you want a really tight fit. Linens were soft.

Pool- didn't use it but looked nice, good size, goes up to 6 feet. No hot tub though.

Breakfast was pretty good. They has some little omelet with sauteed spinach and mushrooms that were good. Otherwise, typical continental breakfasts. Only meat were on mini sandwiches they made. Fruit salad was great and many beverage choices.

One really cool part abut this hotel was they have 24/7 foodservice and the menu looks awesome. They also have premade sandwiches, wraps and salads and beverages in a fridge unit right up front in the lobby you can just grab and pay for. Also, they have a little bar right near check in and a couple folks were enjoying some wine and beers and coffee. Lovely lobby.

Would come back again. Located within a couple miles of good restaurants and shopping (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc).

Room Tip: Maybe towards front of building- I heard the trash collectors at back of building at 5 am.

Very good front desk staff that treats guests as if they are at the Ritz (or trained in the Ritz Customer service model). The best television (or largest) I have ever had in a hotel room and a nice breakfast. Good quality exercise equipment although the touch screen was erratic. Well cone.

Our company uses this hotel for any employees that are visiting our Troy office. This place is really top notch for the price. The rooms are large with a nice swiveling flat screen that can face the bed or the seating area. The front desk staff is great and the breakfast is very good. They have an assortment of hot and cold dishes and all of the usual morning beverage choices. Don't hesitate booking this hotel.

I've stayed in thousands of hotels... as a working mother of four. This is the very first hotel where they were not able to do anything to help me store pumped breast milk. The guest rooms have a refrigerator. However, I'm here for a company meeting that lasts past checkout. The staff and manager at this hotel (I talked to 4 different people) would not put it in a refrigerator because of "health code reasons". They would not even put my ice packs in the freezer because of "health code reasons". If they don't have a freezer or refrigerator that I can use after checkout, then the logical next step would be to give a late checkout so that I can store milk in the room until the meeting is over. Major Fail.

Stayed for 6 nights and very satisfied with this hotel. Very large rooms with a sofa bed which is separated by a partial dividing wall so perfect for parents and children. Quirky room layout I.e. kitchen in bedroom, washbasin in lounge but has everything you need. Coffee and tea facilities but no mini bar.

Clean with very comfortable king bed with quality linen. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.
Saturday nights are busy and noisy. Hotel is full house some nights due to weddings and conferences and this means queuing for breakfast. Small seating space for breakfast but good variety in buffet that alternates daily ie. pancakes/waffles, fresh fruits, yogurts, toast, bagels, pastries, breakfast burgers, etc.

Good location as mentioned in other reviews. Easy to hop on and off I95.

Only draw back is extremely noisy air con unit. We turned it off.

Room Tip: Away from lifts

finally, a hotel worth the money. I am tired of over paying for what is offered but at the hyatt, the price matches service and service is great. Rooms are spotless, nreakfast is very nice and it is such a pleasing surprise to eat with silverware and dishes that are not paper or plastic; a nice environmental alternative. Well done, we will return and look forward to that time!

Room Tip: travel on off peak periods or during the week

I stayed here with my two small children (3 and 5), and we had a blast. The rooms are very spacious which allowed the kids room to spread out. The pool is very nice and very warm!! Love! Close proximity to Great Lakes Crossing, the Village of Rochester Hills (super cute shopping area), and Trader Joe's. Stop looking at other hotels and just book a room :)
