“Very good in all ways”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Nice room, comfortable beds, good breakfast, decent price.....all good! The breakfast room was busy both mornings we were there but the food was replenished often and the staff kept the tables wiped off between guests. Would stay there again when in the area for a concert/golf outing.

I stayed there with my husband, son, and friend. The staff is GREAT. The boys wanted food and go to the movies. The evening gal gave us some menus and a map and where to find a movie theater. The bed was soft and I LOVED the fact that you could open the windows. Although it might be a good idea to move the handles up to where a small child could not reach them. The covers were nice but it was either too hot with them or too cool with just the sheet. My husband and I both woke up in cold sweats that night. When I mentioned it to the gal in the morning when I checked out, she said that there was an extra blanket and sheet in the dresser drawer. The night person didn't mention that when I asked for an extra blanket for the boys. They didn't want to share covers. But still overall it was a NICE hotel. Even though it seemed to be very full and a few sports groups, it was still very quiet. I also appreciated the automatic night light that was there. Normally one has to leave the bathroom door open a crack with the light on but that eliminated that issue. The breakfast was good and plenty of food. McDonalds so close was a bonus for late night food. About the only complaint I have is that it would be nice if they left an extra shampoo and conditioner in the rooms, especially if the room is booked for 4 people. It would have saved a trip down to the desk.

Room Tip: If you have small children that may try to open the windows, stay on the lower floors.

We attend races at Waterford Hills every summer. We stayed a bit farther away last month because all motels/hotels were full. This trip we were able to book and the rate was excellent. The room was highly adequate - especially when considering the senior price. Breakfast was very good. Pool was good for two minutes before the rain came down.

Staff were very polite and very helpful. We hope to return in August.

I just returned home after a two night stay at the Quality Inn (Auburn Hills) and had to share my positive experience - not too many places get it right, but this place does! A+ across the board.
We arrived late at night (about 11:30pm) and were greeted by a very friendly gentleman at the front desk (cannot remember his name urgh!).
When he realized we had used a third party to book our hotel (hotels.com) he advised my husband that in the future to call them directly and they would be able to beat or match the price we receive online. We were impressed that a hotel would do that. He quickly told us when breakfast was and pointed out a few places we may want to visit during our stay.
The lobby, breakfast area and hallways are clean, smell fresh and any staff you encounter will go out of their way to give you a friendly greeting and offer assistance - very impressed!
The rooms have been recently renovated and everything is modern and exceptionally tidy/clean. Our room (room 205) had a beautiful big, comfy king bed and an exceptionally large desk, pristine bathroom and fluffy, white towels.
The breakfast was a pleasant surprise - instead of the usual stale muffins and rock hard bagels that are typically available as a "free" breakfast at other hotels- we were greeted with a crockpot of warm oatmeal, toppings for the oatmeal, a nice selection of bread/bagels, jams, a variety of cereals, biscuits, sausage, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice and fresh coffee. And there was a friendly staff member who happily chatted away to guests as she assisted them with finding items, cleaning up and stocking food supplies.
The hotel is very easy to get to and is close to Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall and other major attractions in the area.
We paid less than a hundred dollars p/night for our stay and had a much more comfortable and enjoyable stay than we have had higher end hotels. We have already booked a return visit with them and have been telling our friends and family about this place.

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor, facing the parking lot (room 205). Our room was recently reno'...

Again another hotel, 2 in a row, wow, excellent service and excellent in cleanliness. This hotel was a little out of the way, but we felt safe and comfortable. Which is very important to us. Shopping was a little far, but the hotel made up for it...nice pool...the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was as clean as a whistle and so is the dining area. Just went and looked at the breakfast, hot food as well as cold...so a great variety. The lobby is comfortable and the rooms are great. The price was really good here. So i will be back.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 104...lovely and clean.
