We took ar family (son and daughter-in-law, daughter from Baltimore and 5 grandchildren ages 5-10) to Lelli's to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday on Friday night of Christmas weekend, They were full but our reserved table for 10 was ready when we arrived. The filets were delicious and over the years have been consistently better than Mortons, Ruth Chris and The Palm. What is special about Lelli's are the many courses although they have gotten smaller (the size of the courses, not their number) over the years. The antipasto, speggetti, Ministrone Soup salad, spinich and mashed potatoes with the filet and spamone ice cream were all delicious. Although this restaurant does not cater to children or is particularly child friendly they did have children's portions and they brought extra plates so the children could share their parents' meals. The children were well behaved thanks to game boy. The service was very good although not perfect. We had to ask for the grated parmisian cheese and they forgot to set our table with napkins,. Both came within 30 seconds even though the requests were relayed to another waitperson. The total bill was $282 before tip and each adult had a glass of wine. I can not understand the other reviews where people spent too much, their food was not delicious or they had a problem with the waitstaff as we incurred none of that on a very busy night. We will continue to celebrate our special occassions at Lelli's as Lelli's is and always will be a special place for our family.
