“Great - Always stayed here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

Stayed in Ann Arbor several times over the years. The Campus Inn is convenient to campus and downtown. Always have had great service throughout the hotel. Food is pretty good both at breakfast and dinner. I have also enjoyed the bar several times (no surprise here) although it closes relatively early.

The Capus Inn is the perfect hotel to go to if you need to stay in a place close to U of M. It is walking distance to campus. There are also many restaurant and bars close by. If you are going to Ann Arbor for other reasons, I would look for another place. The hotel is old and not much has been done to update the decor, however it is clean. The beds are somewhat comfortable. The bathrooms are tiny. All in all, the cost for a room in this hotel is only worth the money if you want easy access to U of M.

Fun note: they still use real keys for the hotel rooms.

We booked a room at the Dahlmann Campus Inn for the week before the Michigan-Ohio State football game. It's a comfortable, old-fashioned hotel with extremely pleasant hotel staff. The hotel provided complementary continental breakfast the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving Day, a nice touch. Things got very busy when the football team (and rabid alumni!) arrived Friday before the game. The buzz in the lobby was delightful and made our stay special. We particularly enjoyed the pianist playing UM fight songs! Of special note is the gift shop, full of UM campus gear. The clerks manning the store were extremely helpful with recommendations of things to do in Ann Arbor.

Free WiFi was nice benefit, although the login page was cumbersome (as are many other hotel wifi setups - you've got to enter a user name and password to access the internet).

The hotel would have received 5 stars from me if the comfortable room had been in better repair. Although very clean, the curtains were ripped and in obvious need of maintenance.

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor. It's quiet and warm (enough) in the winter!

The room was very clean and comfortable with high quality sheets and very comfortable pillows. Although the bathroom was on the smaller side it was still nice and the shower was great . The staff was courteous and pleasant. The bar was cozy and the bartender makes a killer Manhattan!

We stayed here for 4 nights and were treated well by very hospitable staff. The room was a good size, (bathroom a bit small and a bit tired, but nothing to worry about). The restaurant (esp for a hotel restaurant was pretty good) and reasonably priced. Free wifi all over the hotel was a plus.
No in room fridge, but that was the only slight negative. On the whole a most enjoyable stay in a very convenient location

The rooms are a little outdated, think late 80s early 90s, but a good value. I arrived for business at the hospital near by and am glad I chose here. The staff is very personable and the rooms are very clean. I had a quick bite down at the restaurant which was good for hotel food. If doing business around the Ann Arbor area definitely look them up.

We stayed on the 3rd floor which is nicer than the other floors, on that floor it has the small little fitness rooms (nothing much to use but still something) and some banquet rooms. The rooms were clean and neat, beds were comfortable but in our room 314 you could hear something all day and night, something that sounds like rain on a gutter or a drain pipe. It wasnt bad but it did take a little getting used to the first night. The restaurant makes an excellent breakfast!! Love the bacon...brown sugar and tasty! It is a little expensive for breakfast and there are better places but it is convenient and the food was still very good! The location of the Campus Inn couldnt be better!! It is the best, right in the middle of downtown and you can walk to all the good restaurants you want! Across the street is the church that the football team uses to scrimmage the morning before the game, that is cool to witness and take some nice photos. There arent a lot of good places to stay in Ann Arbor of all this one is located in the best place and it is the best one in town!
